Tyro is according to Webster a beginning learner. FIDO is short for Fidelity Investments

It takes time but I find nobody watches my money better than I do. Take in consideration what they cost you and it isn't too hard to do reasonably well yourself. My biggest losses have come on others advice! Either way the big boys still win.

The time to fire a financial advisor is BEFORE he/she loses some of your money.

When they are charging you a management fee of 1% for funds with a sales charge of another 1% and an expense ratio of another 1%. Then you realize you can get better performing funds at Vanguard with no management fees or sales charges and expense ratios of 1/10th of 1%.
