Art Critique Group

Are any artists interested in having a once a month critique group? I am new to the villages and have an extensive back ground in Art ( I am an Oil Painter). For those artists that work alone, a monthly critique with peers is a great help and motivator. I have joined the Art League, but they currently do not have an afternoon or evening critique group. ( I don't work mornings…) Please contact me if you are interested. This would be a small, informal, beginner/intermediate or advanced group (anyone welcome). If permitted and schedule would work it could be held at a Rec. center, or my home/ or your home. Thanks. L. Stewart

I am an oil painter and would love to take part in a critique group with other artists. My emphasis is on composition and use of color and light/shadows. I would only be able to participate in the afternoons. Once a month sounds good. It is good to have feedback, especially in the planning stages of a painting (gotta plan with oil!)

I am currently a member of VAA. I tried to get a critique group started using one of The Villages teachers, but he wanted to charge and didn't get the whole idea that I presented to him, so it kind of fell flat. I would be happy to organize this with you.
