My husband and I would like to know if anyone has an RV to rent. We would be driving to Maryland and parking at our children's homes for 2 weeks in December.ellisonhudson@yahoo.com

That's what you call an RV Clark.

If you've had RV experience, you should advertise as such. I know I would never let anyone use ours if they've never handled one before. You may be able to use one of the rental sites. Here's Cruise America which has rentals in Ocala.

Seriously if you are just there for a few weeks it might be cheaper to rent a hotel room. You will be looking at $600.00 to $700.00 in fuel to get there and back. Add the cost of the rental and you are into a tidy sum. If you are set on living in their driveway it might be less expensive to rent one when you get there. December in Maryland means you will need to keep the heat or face frozen pipes etc. That means more cost in propane. So add another hundred dollars or so.

Take a 1500 Watt electric space heater for use in the RV instead of propane.

You need at least 30 Amp service to an RV.

Propane is not very expensive. Might cost $30 for 2 weeks RV heat if temps are above freezing

Most smaller RV's get around 10 MPG on the highway. Maryland's about 900 miles from TV. Say 100 gallons @ $3.00 = $300 each way.

I have a motor home and wouldn't ever think of renting it. I know that doesn't help you, but you have to understand that many motor homes cost more than our homes did and screening potential renters and providing proper insurance coverage are major concerns.

Renting from an individual can be a nightmare as far as insurance goes. This link may help.
