Good Morning TOTV...
Which restaurants and/or food stores deliver food? In need of a list of places that will provide either paid for or free delivery to a Villages home.
Thanks in advance for the information.

Are you looking for a meals on wheels type organization for a sick person or a company who delivers groceries or a restaurant that delivers takeout?

There is a church that delivers to shut-ins. Let me know if you need that info. Not sure of the cost on that one.

Here's the info for the grocery and takeout delivery service but there is a monthly membership fee. Village Grocery Delivery (http://www.villagegrocerydelivery.com/)

Not looking for meals on wheels, but restaurants and grocery stores that deliver. Good friends were in an auto accident and we are on vacation for a bit. Their daughters signed them up on www.mealtrain.com which is an online program to help organize assistance for those in need. Fantastic site, by the way. I'd just like to sign up to send them a meal via one of our great restaurants who might deliver.

Check with the Villages Grocery Delivery. It may not be free but I don't think it is that much. I will tell you that Olive Garden does a great job with carry out. You get the meal, bread sticks and a big salad. My husband and I split the tour of Italy or Chicken Scampi and it is enough for both of us. They also let you carry out their monthly specials so many times we get a meal to split for $13.50 total.

Thanks so much. This is exactly what I was looking for. Appreciate your help. Now to get them signed up so they can take advantage of the program. I still don't understand why most restaurants don't deliver... but then, I can answer my own question - because they don't have to!
