View Full Version : Any Other Villagers Heading to Birmingham for Rally & March?

This Friday & Sat., there will be both a rally & a march in Birmingham, AL organized by Glenn Beck & multi-denominational religious leaders. This to honor the non-violent civil rights work of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and to focus attention on the plight of persecuted Christians in the Middle East (where hundreds of Christian women are being "sold" into sexual slavery by radical Islamists).

For those who haven't been following Beck lately, he's pretty apolitical in terms of party affiliation anymore. Predicted correctly the rise of militant Islam and the attempt to re-form the Caliphate in the Middle East. He seems to be a decent man, very brave and truthful IMO. We believe he's a force for good and will be there in support of his unity message. PM me if you'd like to car pool it up there Friday, return Sunday.

That would be a wild car ride with the odor of both Ben-Gay and wacky-tabakky inside the car.

A rally and march which accomplish nothing. What a great idea.

What a waste of time. Until you get rid of the agitators like Obama, it won't get any better, no matter how much you march around.

God told Beck to go the rally. A long list of conversationalists with God include Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry, and Pat Robertson.

Why make the list so short? God wants almost all those in the Republican clown bus to run. However, apparently God can't get them to actually win, thank God!

As always, a great motive......

"This to honor the non-violent civil rights work of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and to focus attention on the plight of persecuted Christians in the Middle East (where hundreds of Christian women are being "sold" into sexual slavery by radical Islamists). "

Turns into a discussion of the individuals involved instead of the reason for a march.

And of course, anytime you mention God, you will be lambasted by those who do not believe.

But, sure wish the emphasis would be on the REASON for this march, which is something that is overlooked in this country, and not on the individuals.

Christians are being killed BECAUSE THEY ARE CHRISTIANS, but will not get attention until someone takes up their cause. I am supposing that those who oppose this march are in lockstep with killing Christians for their religious beliefs.

So you DO support the killing of people based on their religious beliefs ??????

OR, are you just trolling...one of the two.....

Climb back onto the Republican Clown Bus with your Tea Party haters.

A thread on here about the gassing of children in the streets of Syria gets no response.

A thread on here about the mass kidnappings and killings in Africa gets no response.

A thread on here about a march protesting the killing of Christians gets this hateful, despicable response.

This poster needs serious help.

The smart ass post on here from one of the low life troll clan makes me angry enough to say this...

I think this kind of sentiment, and I hope never to meet anyone who could be so vile, is a result of our current admin.

Why ? For 6 years, they have been mocking verbally both the Tea Party and Republicans without stop almost.

I AM NOT A MEMBER OF THE TEA PARTY AND THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO DEFEND WHAT THEY MAY STAND FOR.

They continue this verbal barrage, well outside the normal give and take of politics. Recently, those of us who oppose the Iran deal were referred to as "crazies" and classified the same as "crazies" in the streets of Tehran.

Then, they say it is all the fault of Republicans who have been opposing the President since who knows when, which borders on ludicrios when you read IN CHRONOLOGICAL order all that has been said.

They hold press conferences to lament the death of people who were killed while breaking the law. They celebrate the birthday of one lawbreaker with riots.

I hate to say it. But this current administration has shown what hate really looks like, and it is reflected in their acolytes like this poster.

This March, no matter who sponsors it, deserves the attention of, if not the presence of our President, BUT despite its intent it will be ignored.

They embarrass themselves with this kind of thing.

They continually show their total support, with no conditions for this WH, will not engage on details and simply mouth their support for the WH.

They do not understand that their lack of knowledge comes through so loud and clear with these posts.

Lack of knowledge and a hateful lined heart.

I don't think there are more than two of them. One is more intelligent, the poster occasionally listens.

I think it is a great tragedy that Christians, and other minority religions, are being exterminated at the hands of Muslim extremists. It also amazes me how quick progressives are to excuse the violent behavior: It is isolated, the religion of peace, blah blah.

Many progressive refuse to comprehend Sharia law. Gay people are killed in horrible manners. If a woman is raped, she need four witness to contradict one male witness. Guess how often that happens? So she winds up killed or severely lashed - for having sex with a man not her spouse.

Despicable.

Just curious, what happened to the honoring of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. side of the story?

First, it was the PEACEFUL aspect of Dr King.

Secondly, nothing happened to it, but peaceful demonstrations have been mocked many times on here. The idea of approving of Christians being killed because of their beliefs is a novel one for the troll brigade.

What other Democrat? Please don't use "progressive" when labeling a liberal. It's more reasonable to use the term "socialist."

It is really really interesting to me.

During the Ferguson riots and even a disturbance prior to that, I and others, were told of the validity of the riots and how they were justified. That was when all we knew was that the story said that Michael Brown was "gunned down" by a bad white policeman. We have found out since that was not true at all, and that Michael Brown had committed crimes and disobeyed the officer and in fact attacked the officer. This all confirmed by THREE grand juries and the Federal investigation.

Ok.....THAT, on this forum was an ok march with burning buildings etc.

NOW, we have a march to "honor the non-violent civil rights work of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and to focus attention on the plight of persecuted Christians in the Middle East (where hundreds of Christian women are being "sold" into sexual slavery by radical Islamists)."

And this march, unlike the Ferguson is made fun of. A few comments from the same folks who felt that the burning of business was just a ok and those who questioned it were "immoral" (yeah a poster called me that)

SAME PEOPLE SAID THIS STUFF ON THIS THREAD.

"That would be a wild car ride with the odor of both Ben-Gay and wacky-tabakky inside the car."

"God told Beck to go the rally. A long list of conversationalists with God include Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry, and Pat Robertson."

"..and to you - Are you still beating your wife? Just a yes or no, nothing else."

Now, just think about these people who find it their thing to mock this march, saluting the efforts of Dr King and protesting people being murdered because of their religion while at the same time saluting and applauding the burning of buildings for a cause not just. (PLEASE do not insult anyone by saying how it was racial injustice because it was not, and nobody is defending racial injustice)

The mindset is simply scary.

These people move among us.

Go read some of the websites about Beck's march on Birmingham. You will find that the reason he is organizing it is to advance his anti-gay message and especially the recently passed Supreme Court decision on same sex marriage.

Of course, the Tea Party base loves him because he stands for the extremist ideas they do. Beck is a showman. He is laughing all the way to the bank at his loyal lemmings.

Dear Guest: First let me remind you that our democracy was created predicated on the belief that our individual rights to freedoms come from God. So that those who mock God have no option but to accept that their freedoms come from government. In most of the world that is not working out well for them.

Secondly the basis for the march is for good vis a vis being lawless and threatening to people. In other words it is contributing to the betterment of mankind and clearly making the statement that all lives matter.

Third it is more convincing and people appear more intelligent and savvy when they direct their comments to the issues and not by making personal attacks on other people.....But you know that

I have been around people like you and watched as they consumed themselves in hate and self loathing causing themselves a premature demise. I for one will offer a prayer in repose of your soul and ask God to forgive your trespasses.

Listen, I never ever stated a support for the beliefs inherent in this march. I do not belong to the Tea Party. I have never come on here and espoused their slant on anything.

THAT is not my beef with you trolls.

My beef is frankly how you pick and choose your issues, and on those you do not agree, you simply make fun of them.

THAT to me is about as immature as you are able to be.

THAT is my beef with you people. You expect respectful posts BUT THEY ARE RESERVED FOR YOUR ISSUES. All others are subject to juvenile mocking.

THAT is my problem. You honestly think that you are the correct ones and everyone must fall in line with your views and that is not reality.

I'm the original poster from a couple of days back. Haven't been back to check since responding to the goofball in post #2. Gotta say I'm very proud of the vast majority of fellow posters on this thread who "get it"--the nation & the Western values we hold dear are under grave assault from within and from without now. You folks sense it, too. Thus, there is hope.

We've decided that it's time for us to engage, for the first time. We love TV and the lifestyle it's afforded us these past 2+ years here. But it's heartbreaking for us to know that the chances of our kids & grandkids to have such a retirement are virtually nil, given all the fiscal madness & the various threats we face now. I almost cannot look them in the eye, knowing how my generation is "blowing it".

I know better, yet I do little to nothing about it. We've got criminals in charge & they're getting away with monstrous acts of commission AND omission. Both parties, BTW. Enough. We're going to start by trying to liberate the shrinking number of Syrian Christians, and go from there. At their peak, they numbered 2 million. Now it's 400K. That's all that are left, and they're under hellish threat. The US won't accept them here! Meanwhile our State Dept is bringing entire Somali (Muslim) families over here and dropping 'em in Minneapolis. (Gee, how might that manifest down the road, I wonder?)

Anyway, on to AL. We'll pray for guidance on the next best steps. It's very late in America, perhaps too late. But we'll at least go down fighting. Very proud to be among you patriotic Villagers!

Dear Guest: I didn't say God was mentioned in the U S Constitution. I said that the founders predicated our freedoms based on the fact that they were given to us by God. It was their way of saying freedom wasn't something a monarch had the right to decide and or ration.

People from the beginning of time and until Lincoln's great Emancipation believed slavery was a natural event. Heck in some parts of the world they still believe slavery is a natural event.

For example at the turn of the century in America some men leaving a room occupying the presence of a woman would back out because it was disrespectful to turn your back to a woman. Remember before women began burning their bras it was considered polite to hold open the door for a lady. And remember that it was once proper to have a man courting a woman visit in her bed of course with a board partitioned between them because homes were very cold back then.

Men dueled to protect their honor or that of a lady. so before you judge you may want to learn what was the law, the custom or the fashion at the time.

And finally you better hope that God doesn't go out of vogue because if it happens government is going to fill that vacuum very quickly and we know that government is not all knowing and all wise

Friend, you are speaking to the choir. That young guy you/we are replying to is a young student know it all, that is too good to believe in a deity. He is on here only to harass us seniors because he thinks it's fun. He is not literate enough to have an informed conversation and thinks that his basket weaving classes will get him by in the real world.
Personally, I pity anyone without faith in our creator, because they are just one or two steps away from becoming like the one that shot those news employees. I have yet to meet anyone that is without faith, that was also a happy and content person. But, that is my opinion.
