We would like to know about reasonable rates to go from TV or Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale cruise port. We saw a Red Bus which goes from Orlando to Fr. Lauderdale which could be a possibility but am interested in your experiences.
The question about the Red Bus is how to find reasonable parking at the Orlando airport. We appreciate any suggestions.

There is a bus which picks up in Summerfield and at Rural King on 441 (I think that my be in Leesburg but not far from where 466A intersects with 441) that takes you to the ports in south Florida. You can leave your car at Rural King in the front of the lot or have a neighbor dive you down. I'm sure someone here will know who that company is, I don't, I've only driven my neighbors for their bus.

The bus company that will pick you up at the McDonald's in Summerfield is ESCOT. Very nice busses and they take you directly to your ship at Ft. Lauderdale - and they pick you up at the ship and drop you off at McDonald's when you return. I believe the cost is $100 pp.

Have friends drive you to the McDonald's. You also could use a taxi service.

That is $200 each way. We rented car from Enterprise was cheaper. But had to get port cab to ship. Don't want to leave car at McDonalds for month or more.

No, the cost is $100 pp for round trip. Ask friends to drive you to the McDonalds in Summerfield or take a taxi from Villages Transportation.

A month long cruise! Sounds wonderful.

Will the bus also drop off at Ft. Lauderdale airport?

Just checked out car rentals as we're planning on a transatlantic out of Ft Lauderdale next spring. You can rent a car from Budget or Avis in Leesburg on 441 for only $45 for a 24 hour period. And Budget has a shuttle to the port.

Are these prices one-way, ie include the drop-off fee for leaving at a different place? We used Enterprise and had had to pay an extra fee for one-way.

Our longest was 113 days Grand World Voyage. everything else feels short.

Going on 19 day first cruise on MS Konigsdam in April roundtrip Rome. After booking round trip air with reward miles (left over from move two years ago), we heard on HAL Friends FB of repo. We would have 13 day trip, few new to us stops, but cheap. And can save miles for later. Would then come back a week early. Anyone going on Konigsdam?

The Prinsendam is our favorite ship.

Last time we cruised out of Ft L. we booked through Yankee Trails, which gives you free round-trip transport from TV. Since we were the only couple traveling they put on a private car, rather than a bus.
