A few general questions:

Do TV homes have gas or all electric?

Lawn sprinklers common? If so, use city water or separate well?

Power outages an issue? Whole house generators common?

Thanks,
Frank

Power outages an issue?
it's happened to me maybe 5 times in 2 years but not an issue since it didn't stay off for very long

Virtually all homes have sprinkler systems. They do use reclaimed water from the golf courses, and are billed at a lower level than potable water.

All the neighborhoods have underground electric. So far, all the outages have been brief.

On a related note, there's a lot of lightening here. We had a whole-house surge protector installed, and purchased a good surge protector for all our electronics. Even the reclining couch has a surge protector.

The water that is used for your lawn, does not, come from the golf courses. It comes from the storm sewer.
BTW, some homes north of cr 466 use potable water for irrigation.

And it costs more than potable water...

A few villages have natural gas available.
The newer villages are located south of Route 466a and are all electric.

When you get hooked up with a salesperson (I recommend Jim McLaughlin) you will get all your answers to your questions plus some that you haven't thought of. There's a lot to understand about this place and the rules are different depending on what village you finally settle in and any comparisons to the current local government where you live doesn't apply here. Be informed.
