There are two companies that offer port tours for less money than the ship offers. I have used them both and had no problems.
One is http://www.portpromotions.com the other one is http://www.shoretrips.com
I have also hired an individual tour guide. This usually works out less expensive if there is a group travelling together.
Hope this helps some of you, when you are thinking of taking a tour.
