Bad storm going thru - same thing happened yesterday.

I just dumped direct tv. I knew these outages were coming. Maybe my dish placement was wrong. I was without signal so often, it just got to be too much!

Don't try to watch HD. Lost mine also, so just switched to SD channels and can still watch TV

That's what I do. Not worth dumping DirecTv over when they're the only one withTHE NFL TICKET

Me too. And outages are so infrequent...at least for us...it's not a big deal at all.

Very discouraged with direct tv. Referred a friend they said years ago they were a customer so I lost the referral & was promised a credit by 2supervisors they took that away! A little bit of false advertising

Problems are minimal. We had DirecTV in NYC and brought it down with us. Switched out for one year and went back. We love it.

I think everyone with Directtv had that problem. I was so mad I missed some of the game. All the cable channels were on but not local.

We were watching a baseball game on DirecTV at 9, here in Tamarind Grove. No outtage. Storm must have gone elsewhere.

Must have been localized then, but somehow I don't think it was storm related. I think it was some sort of technical issue.

I agree. Since it was only the local network affiliates that were down, it does not seem to be storm related. I also do not recall a storm last night in The Villages.

All the local channels, 2, 6, 9, 18, 27 56, 65, etc went out during the first quarter of MNF. All the national channels from channel 101 and up continued to work. About ten minutes later a sign was posted on channel 2, "you do not need to call Directv, we are aware of the outage and have our technicians working on the problem and will restore service as soon as possible". About 30 minutes later the game came back on the air just before NE was to score their second TD.

That explains why we didn't lose reception. We were watching Extra Innings baseball on channel 720-something.

When there is a storm with heavy clouds the signal from the satellite is blocked that goes to your dish.No picture. Usually momentarily. With cable that wouldn't happen.

Guess you can look for a partial refund on your monthly bill.
