A man was reading the newspaper in the living room when his wife walked in and hit him on the head with a metal pot.
“Ow! What did you do that for?” the man asked.
“That was for the piece of paper with the name Jenny Lou that I found in your pants pocket when I did the wash.”
The man said, “Last week, when I went to the racetrack, Jenny Lou was the name of the horse I bet on.”
The wife apologized and went back to the kitchen.
Three days later the man is watching TV. His wife walks up behind him and bashes him on the head with frying pan, this time knocking him unconscious.
When he came to, he said, “Why'd you hit me again?”
“Your horse just called.”
“Ow! What did you do that for?” the man asked.
