Why is it that so many people who own homes here, but do not live here full time, let their weeds grow so high and their bushes go unkept - until they receive a five day letter from The Villages letting them know that if the situation isn't taken care of in five days, The Villages will clean it out and send them a bill? I would think that ifyou have someone taking care of your home while you are away, that they would at least tell you about how your yard/weeds/bushes look. Aren't you paying someone to "take care of" your home? I just don't understand. My daughter gets lots of calls from people from out of state who have received such letters and she goes and cleans up the mess - but why does your "manager" let these things get so out of control?

For some, they don't have managers or caretakers watch their homes, they have friends. The friends see the weeds start to pop up but wait until they're overgrown to let the owners know. I think most of us who do homewatch are diligent about telling homeowners long before it reaches the overgrown stage.
Like your daughter, I've had to clean up more than a few of these. I try to get these clients to have their weeds done on a monthly basis since once the weeds have infiltrated they never really go away until new plastic and covering is put down and then you're safe for a short while.

Red, you need to take out an ad on TOTV. Many of your posts talk about your business but with an outright ad you might reach more people. Advertising is critical to any business but especially to a new business.
PS_ I also heard Jan needs a new motorcycle!! Your support will help.
