His Holiness, Pope Francis, has now given priests the go-ahead to forgive women who have have abortions.
This is an excellent church leader. While he does not encourage abortions, the women who are repentent of having them can now be absolved of their sin.
So glad to see the Catholic leader come into the 21st century after all of them up to now have been stuck in the Middle Ages.

Having a Jesuit as the Pope is refreshing to say the least. They are free thinking and excellent educators.

Then I guess you will have to be a catholic to get forgiven for that baby murder. The governor and the president can pardon you for murder, but that doesn't mean that you are not guilty of the murder. Guess it will be between you and God, and no man can speak for God.

Abortion is LEGAL in the USA so it IS NOT baby murder. You do not get pardoned for a legal act.

Legal BS commentary. Legal does not equal right.

There are a lot of sins that are legal in the USA. Legality doesn't make it morally condoned by the deity. To make it simple, legality doesn't make it right.
Since I am not catholic, I put as much stock in the Pope forgiving something as I do with Obama forgiving something. Although that is giving Obama way too much credibility.
