Laser Procedure following cataract surgery

Anyone had laser procedure following cataract surgery to "let more light in eye"?

No, but I did have my cataracts removed with the laser by Dr Ireland and she is the best.
The results are unbelievable.

Had it done after cataract removal when floaters showed up. It was very benign procedure. You look into the machine and the doctor "shoots" them with a burst - just like a video game. Didn't feel a thing. Easy procedure. That was several years ago and no repercussions.

I had the YAG laser capsulotomy.
They gave me diluting drops for the YAG procedure, which was done in a small room. Numbing drops not needed for the YAG, since the machine never touches your eye. Looking into the machine, I saw 4 red lights in a small square, clicking noise as the laser does its' job. The clicks came from the machine but felt like they are echoing from the back of my skull. No pain at all, about 20-30 seconds for each eye.
No follow up meds were required.
I noticed some new floaters towards the bottom of the left eye, but they were mostly gone in a few hours and pretty much disappeared in a few days.

Unlike the cataract surgery, no need to be chauffeured.
Done in the Dr's office, not a Surgical Center.
You can have FOOD before your visit.
OK, maybe (probably) some floaters in your vision for a while.

I am having the procedure done later this month. I had my catarcts removed 3 or 4 years ago. The new lenses are clouding slightly. Barely noticeable by me but readily noted in an eye exam.

Dr. Ireland said it was a 10 minute in the chair process. End result will be like having the winshield just cleaned!

Of all the specialists we have seen thoughout our lives, she is without a doubt the very best. Closely followed by every single employee there. In a top notch, very pleasnt, state of the art facility, less than 15 minutes from most folks homes.
