Your pocket change is needed to help. I didn't know whether to mention this here or not, but the need is great so here goes. Do you have some pocket change to spare? I belong to some groups on Facebook. There is a lady whose dog has IVDD. The little dog became paralyzed because of a disc issue in its back. The lady is heartbroken because she cannot afford the surgery for her dog, which she loves so much. People were giving her a hard time. The poor woman had enough on her plate, so to speak, what with the worry about her beloved pet. People she did not even know said there was no dog or that it was not true. She was so desperate and so hurt. She made a video clip and showed the poor little dog, etc. It was such a touching video. How sad that anyone has to go to this extreme to disprove nay-sayers. Well, some ladies (including myself) were touched by the video. The other ladies, including the administrator over the group, verified everything. The vets were contacted. Paperwork from the vet was obtained (I have copies on my computer). So we are trying to help her raise money so her dog can have surgery and therapy. She has checked out other avenues, but does not qualify for CareCredit.

My thinking is what if your pet needed surgery and you couldn't afford it? I am also promoting a Pay It Forward chain. Any of you see the movie PayItForward or read the book? If someone has done something nice for you, you don't pay them back......you Pay It Forward to 3 strangers. You ask each of those 3 people to Pay It Forward to 3 other people. Now that is 9. Those 9 Pay It Forward to 3 each. Its now 27 people that have benefited from the kindness of strangers. As you can see, it grows and grows and grows. It feels good to help a stranger and it feels good to get help from a stranger. This world can use a little more love and goodness when all you here is the negative things in the news.

My post here is rather lengthy. If anyone is interested in donating, I can provide you the names, addresses, and phone numbers of the vets involved, copies of some of the documents from the vets, or a Pay Pal account that you can donate to. So you can verify everything. The money does not go to her. You can pay one of the vets directly or you can donate through the PayPal account that has been set up and goes to the vet.

If just a number of people would donate $1, the little dog's surgery and therapy needs could be met. I donated more than that and I figure I can cut back at the grocery store for a week. It won't kill me. Actually, do me some good. :)

Sorry this is so long. This lady is not in our area. So I just want to be upfront about that. She is in the state of LA. But I would hope that does not matter to you. She has started a Facebook page so people can follow what is going on with her little dog. That page is: Lil Bit's Journal Living with IVDD.

If you would be interested in helping this lady. like I said I can provide the information so you contact or pay the vets or make a donation via PayPal. And if you do not choose to donate or cannot, do me a favor and do something nice for 3 strangers and ask them to Pay It Forward.

I would ask if you do choose to help this lady and her little dog, that you be so kind to let me know. And when you donate put that your are from The Villages, FL. I want everyone to know where the kindness comes from.

Thanks everyone. Sorry this is so wordy.

Why don't you set up a go fund me account and post the info on FB and TOTV. If people started sharing on FB it could go viral.

gomoho, I believe some did set up some type of a different account. I don't know if it was a gofundme or something else. It is not doing very well. There are so many of those and people do not like to donate to those because there are people who lie. People are leary. With this lady several people have verified this is legit and they provided me copies of the vets documents and the phone numbers, addresses, etc. so if anyone else wants to verify for themselves they can. But thanks for your suggestions anyway.

Bonnievie, Thanks for posting the GoFundMe. I wasn't going to post all this, but since you posted that I went ahead and posted the PayPal and the vet's offices, too. Are you in one of our groups on FB or just a good detective?

Bonnievie, THANK YOU for donating. Everyone trying to help raise funds for this lady says thank you. And Rhonda is so appreciative of anything and everything that anyone does for her and Lil Bit. Again, thank you.

detective. I wish I had the paypal account--would have rather used that. gofund takes a percentage.

Bonnievie, Never thought about them taking a percentage. At least ALL FORMS OF PAYMENT are listed now: PayPal, GoFundMe, and the the vet's offices for anyone else who would like to help.

Just wanted to say, on behalf of Lil Bit and her mommy, thank you. She is still a long way from having the funds needed for surgery. She hates the thought of her furbaby not being able to walk again because she cannot get the funds together to make the surgery happen. If she cannot get the money together, the funds will go toward the therapy treatments and many pills and vitamins the dog is having to take.

Thanks, Terri. Every donation is a step closer in helping Lil Bit get her surgery. No beloved pet should suffer because a family cannot afford the surgery.

I know alot of people are concerned about fakes, but we have obtained documentation from the vets showing the dog does need the surgery, the vet's names, addresses, phone numbers, have seen videos and photos, so people can verify the information themselves if they have any doubts. Please feel free to request proof.

And if just 5,000 had donated $1 in the beginning, the surgery and therapy would be funded. And this is a real case, but say it wasn't, then a person would only be out of $1. How many people in The Villages would have to fill bankruptcy over $1?

Please consider giving $1. And please take the time to verify that this is real.
