I don't think I ever saw the first season of the Andy Griffith show. It's quite remarkable. The characters seem all well developed starting from the very beginning.
Ron Howard is amazing, especially considering his age. I wonder if he was taking direction, if he had a natural accent or just learned to talk that way. He looks people in the face and never seems like he's acting at all.

Tom I have seen every episode ever made all 2 hundred twenty something of them. There used to be Andy Griffith marathons when we were snowed in in Ohio and I used to watch it non-stop. I wouldn't mind seeing them all again. Yes, Ron Howard was so talented when he was little. He never looked like he was acting.

I think the background music sets that TV era and the mood throughout the show. There were lots of horns. They used a laugh track.

I wonder when the laugh track started and who invented it. I don't feel like looking it up now.

I'm on season 6. Much better show than anything I can find on TV today.
