After a week off the LPGA is back in action this week with the playing of the Evian Championship

Hyo Joo Kim will be attempting to defend the title she won last year as a non LPGA player. Hyo Joo birdied the final hole and came out on top by one shot over Karrie Webb, who bogeyed that very same hole.

What is wrong with the Golf Channel? The scheduling of the final round of the Evian Championship was changed because of impending weather conditions. They are playing in threesomes and started several hours earlier which is a good move on the part of the tournament committees.

So the golf channel had planned to show a bit of the tournament in the morning and then the finish tonight. The leaders were on about the tenth hole and The Golf Channel decides to stop showing this women's major to go to an unimportant European Tour event. They'e going to show a few hours of that and then a Web.com event.

Now the Web.com event is the final event of the season and has a bearing on who will play in the PGA tour next year, but why the decision to air either of these tournaments as opposed to a women's major.

I'm not a huge fan of LPGA golf, but I do enjoy watching the majors. This decision is incomprehensible to me.

Imagine the Men's US Open being pushed ahead of schedule like this and a network deciding to not show it. In favor of a rerun on Seinfeld. It would never happen.

Like I said, I'm not a huge LPGA fan, but give these women some respect Golf Channel.

Respect was given to the LPGA major. The last hour and a half was shown on NBC!

Sorry you missed it. There was a crawl across the screen and I think the announcer also mentioned it (but not sure).
