Click on Political Talk on the left hand side (in the gray area) and you will get there.

Maybe it is a tan/brown color. If you are reading this, it is at the top left hand side of the page. Right next to the banner ads under Site Navigation.

Yes one can get there that way. However the forum is not active. No capability to post or respond or add a new thread.

The debugging of political must be more complex than the entirity of TOTV as it is still not active yet.

Some must be going through withdrawal by now.[emoji6]

Personally, I think they should allow for a trial run with names revealed while they are working on the site. It may provide some valuable feedback as to whether that would be the best way to proceed from this point or not. Seems to me the posts with names revealed were pretty civil. Maybe it would scare off the usual name caller's, repetitious posts, etc? Wishful thinking?

It would be wishful thinking. The Political Forum was up for the 2012 election and had the screen names of posters. It got real nasty. If a liberal posted a disagreement, he/she would be ganged up on by several conservative posters. Name calling like stupid, brain dead, moron, etc were not allowed, of course, but it got very mean spirited.

This anonymous method really does not have any value either. There is no real discussion but is just conservatives pitted against liberals (or vice versa) and some really mean spirited vile name calling from both sides.

What do you mean by ganged up on? Differing opinions on the subject matter? Of course that will happen, but I don't think one has to be nasty about it. Now there may be one group larger than another that may respond, but then that's life no matter where you live. I just don't like the constant name-calling - takes away from real conversation and sharing of ideas.

An entire TOTV forum up and running the same day....with thousands of hits per day.

The political forum "debug" going on 3 days.......

Hopefully there is something new in the offing.

Thank you for your patience with this. Everything should be restored now.

It was 'An act of Congress' to get the section de-bugged and we appreciate your patience and support.
