What is the range of home prices in Virginia Trace? Is there a premium on living there since it's so close to Sumter Square? We're coming to TV on Sunday for a preview visit. What other villages are near Sumter Square?

Within 1 mile to Lake Sumter Landing (5 minute golf cart ride) are the Villages of Belvedere, Bonnybrook, Bridgeport, Caroline, Liberty Park, Sabal Chase, Mallory Square, Poinciana, Sunset Pointe, Virginia Trace and Winifred. And I probably missed a couple. Closest are Caroline and Sunset Pointe I think, but others may know better. Go to the villiages web site, look at used homes, select those villages and see whats available in the price range you want to spend. You can search by village, home type, or price. I know of no premium for those villages except they are the homes built in the last 5 years and are all South of 466. Seems to be what lots of people want, but not for everyone. I agree with you as I prefer to be South of 466 and closer to LSL, but that's a personal choice. I know several people who prefer North and SS.

All I can tell you is that we live in Caroline ..come in Caroline gate and take the first left...in fact you can walk to LSL and Sweetbay from our house in 5 minutes and we absolutley LOVE it. NO one knows how the new Town Center will work out but given the Villages history, the developer knows what he is doing. BUt for example being in teh center of the Viollages it took me 20 minutes by golf cart to get to Staples off of 441 yesterday (very close to Spanish Springs). I play alot of tennis at Glenview CC ad its a comfortable cart ride for me when I go.....if you are near 466A ...you are not that much further but add 10-15 minutes on to 20 for me and you are 1/2 hour or better out and the same would apply if you were going to Lopez or Spanish Springs.
When you talk to someone in TV everyone..I mean everyone will claim they have the best location so that leads me to believe there are very few "Bad" locations...unless you are by a "train" whistle stop!

Caroline,

Thanks for the info. We'll be playing golf at Glenview on Wednesday. That will be a first for us. We're playing Havana on Monday (Gustav -- stay away!).

We'll be renting a golf cart for the week. Got to "get the real feel" of TV, as you know.

With all due respect to every other fine villager, they are wrong. Hadley is the best Village. Gene, they are all in close proximity to everything. Just wait, you too will become a raving idiot about this wonderful place. They have lots of clubs, and yes, even one called "The Village Idiots", they go to breakfast in their pajamas!

We moved to Virginia Trace this past January and love the location. We can walk to 2 pools, the Canal St. rec center, Sumter Landing town square, Mallory CC and Lake Miona Center. Although we are not golfers, we have a fabulous view from our backyard of a pond and part of the Mallory golf course. Yes, all the Villages have their benefits, but we just love our village and our neighbors, too!
