The Ohio Buckeye Club is one of my favorites. It's a big club with a great leader, Bob Blakely. They have a monthly meeting, potluck and entertainment. They also have tons of other events, golfing, bocce, shuffleboard, poker runs, dinners out etc. We really enjoy it. '

Gene, We have only spent a total of 19 days in our new house, getting it furnished and ready for this winter. It was hot. But no hotter or more humid than we know here in the Ohio valley. It has a breeze and the humidity drops at certain times and it does have the daily rains too. You will love it. Come on down Gene so everyone knows how we Cincinnatians can party!

Hi Gene,

We now live about 10 minutes south of the river, have sold our home and are moving full time to TV in Oct. We spent only a week in TV this month and although hot, not much different than the hot and humid days in Cincy. When people ask how we are going tolerate the hot months in Fla., we just think....Hmmmmm, 3-4 months of heat and humidity versus 3-4 months of cold, dreary days and ice and snow....kind of a no-brainer for us! Hope you enjoy your stay. (another no-brainer!)

We have a Tri-County OSU Alumni Club here. No need to have gone to Ohio State but need to be a die hard fan. Game viewing is at the Hacienda Hill Country Club.

I want to share a good time had in Ohio last night. Sweetie and I were invited to a boatride on the Ohio River. ( A three hour tour and the food was catered by The Montgomery Inn.) It was about 40 people that we have known for years and it was someone's private boat and the temperature was in the mid seventies and there was very little boat traffic as they are setting up for the huge fireworks display this weekend. It was just a beautiful time. One of the nicest memories in my life.

Thought I would share with my fellow Cincinnatians. AND not meaning to brag. Ohio is a beautiful place.
