It's not secret that I'm a Senator Obama fan. But, I want to state that Hillary Clinton is really a class act. She just put Senator Obama over the top by motioning to stop the count and giving all the votes to Obama by Acclamation.
This is a uniquely historical day and I hope that, no matter who you are voting for, you can stop and appreciate what a great event this is. The first African-American to be the nominee for President of the United States. And the first time an opponent in a Primary stepping forward to put their opponent over the top by Acclamation.
Hillary, :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
You are a jewel to the Democratic Party and to America.

Sounds like that was part of the deal between the two camps (Obama and Clinton).
But, Yes, it truly is historic to have first black person running for President.
I hope he's ready to move up his pay grade ;)

Puterguru, I think you're underestimating the impact she had with that speech on her 18 million voters. Remember the old adage "What have you done for me lately?" Well, that very much holds true in this case. When that, spliced together, video was made, she was campaigning against Obama. And her latest words "No way, No how, No McCain!" will resonate with her loyal voters. Bill Clinton's speech was stunning last night and both Clinton's will be on the campaign trail for Senator Obama. Wholeheartedly. Please don't ever underestimate the Clintons. Bill Clinton is not known as "The Comeback Kid" for nothing.
Now, people will come back and say "well, they're being self-serving". I have no doubt the Clinton's have a future plan. I also have no doubt they are stellar Democrates and will work their tails off to make Senator Obama the next President of the United States.
But, I believe it is Senator Obama, himself, that will seal the deal. With tonight's speech and the much awaited debates against John McCain. The difference between the two candidates will be vast and evident at that time. Senator Obama has to walk a fine line so that he doesn't appear to be picking on an old man, but I think the gloves will come off this time. I'm sure McCain will bring up his war record every two minutes, which when pulled apart is not stellar, just a poor circumstance. Like Biden said "A good soldier, following orders, does not necessarily make a good leader."
But from your post, I can see you couldn't rise above Partisanship and give the respect to this historic moment that it deserves. That's a shame. Good luck to you in November.

I wrote 3 books, will you vote for me, need a job...thinking the White House may work for me. His color should not matter, so to say...first African American is a poor excuse to vote just to see history being made....how can you know what they have really to offer, has McCain and Obama had debates yet....I must have missed out. Vote for an unexperienced person and be fully prepared....you must have forgotten the Carter years
