When was the last time anyone asked to see proof of Village Residency while at any pool in TV? I live in NY own in Duval and while I dont spend as much time at the pool as a year round resident, I am there about 6 weeks during the year. I purchased my home almost 2 years ago and I have never been asked to show proof of residency at the pool.. My thought is "no wonder just about anybody can come in and use our poos..And if young people have passes arent they to be accompanied by an adult. Who is monitoring that? Anybody been proofed lately? Laura:cop:

I go to my local adult pool 3-4 times a week; I was checked one day last week and maybe 3 times in the past month.

They always check at the family and sports pools in my area.

Someone was checking at the Amelia pool the other day. When he came in a "young" woman immediately left.

My children were visiting last week and we were at the adult pool. They were asked for their visitors pass and also photo ID since it is a 30 and over pool. They look younger than their years but are over 30. By the way, it was twice in one hour by different people, but you can't get annoyed, they are just doing their jobs. It's better for all of us..

Steve - I agree that getting carded is needed but being asked more than once can be annoying. Perhaps the first person should have told the new person coming on his/her shift that they have already checked everyone that is in the pool so he/she doesn't have to repeat those people, just check new ones coming in. I'd rather have double checks than none at all though.

Thanks everyone for your input. I am so happy to hear that most everyone is bind asked for ID at the pools. That is a good thing for sure...Laura
