For me, it is Carson, Fiorina and Rubio. I want to hear more from all of them.

The Donald obviously strikes a chord with the public, and he says a lot of things I like. He also says a lot of things I don't like ~ personal attacks and jabs at appearance. Can you imagine him talking with Angela Merckel?

He hasn't got the gravitas, and I don't think he can develop it.

Trump has superior leadership ability, is pro-American and gets things done ... that's all the gravitas we need

To me, a conservative Republican, Donald Trump represents the ruination of my party and the conservative movement !!!!

He is just another element in the continuing downfall of this country.

He has already on his own, set up a democratic victory in 2016. He will NOT get the nomination, and will NOT support whomever the candidate is, and will end up destroying any chance as this country moves closer and closer to total socialist government. He is character assiinating all the candidates one by one and those who thinking he is sending a message do not understand Donald Trump. His ego will make him lash out at the party when he is not the candidate.

Donald Trump is also not a conservative. He has much more in common with Obama, Clinton, and the other liberals than with many of the real conservatives.

Contrast his economic and immigration policies with those of Ronald Reagan.

Jeb Bush is right that the Donald is not a conservative except for some window dressing which he has put on to get the Republican votes.

Actually, I think he will get the nomination and then win the election.

He's not a perfect Conservative ... but at this point I'm willing to compromise since we can't afford to have the Obamanations continue

Trump is a RINO. I don't consider him to be a liberal, but I don't consider him a conservative either. I'd say he is moderate, with a lot of mouth thrown in for effect. He is saying what needs to be said, without regard to PC, which is fine with me. He has more in common with the old line Democrats than hard right Republicans. He is reckless but entertaining and will probably motivate more Republican voter turn out. He is not my first choice, but I would not worry about it, if he did win the election. He has lots of experience dealing with foreign management and compared to him, Obama and Kerry are little league amateurs. He is more in line with Henry Ford, and can easily say the same words when it comes to experience and knowledge......"I don't need to know how to do something like that, I can hire someone to do it".

Even though there are several other better suited candidates for the position, I think that Trump would surprise a lot of people if he won the election. I have no doubt that he would take it seriously and work hard at it. Everything he does, he does right. He is driven by success.

If I could pick my candidates for president, I would like a combination of three of them, Fiorina, Carson and Kasich. But, any of the candidates would be better than what the Dems have running so far.

Fiorina...first female, first non politician.
VP Carson....first black Veep, first non politician.

And unfortunately the first to follow in Obama's footsteps. A situation that ONLY non politicians could handle.

I wish you well. Trump, in a REAL debate wI'll be shown for what he his.

An outstanding business leader with an ego that is unmatched. Also with a temperament to GET EVEN at all costs.

I would applaud him except I know Donal Trump. He will NOT accept defeat by any means...his ego will not allow it. We have one now in the White House. And I sure do not need to see another.

He is NOT going to simply walk away. It bodes for a bad ending for this party, and I was so excited with so many of those who were in the race. Now I am so very pessimistic about the Republican/conservative view point.

Are you saying the views of Trump = the Republican/conservative view point and that is why you are pessimistic.

Trumps views are in fact his views and he DOES NOT represent the views of the party.....yet!

I am proposing that he represents, at this time, a view that will get HIM attention, and nothing else. He is a populist. I guess with no plans.

His motive is to force himself into this conversation. And nothing else.

Could that change...I suppose so, but hard to believe Trump doing anything to accommodate any one but himself.

He does not represent conservatives in most ways; he is at odds with Republican ideals in many ways. He will change ONLY if it is shown to help him.

We have an egoist in the WH now who thinks his opinion and ONLY his opinion is what counts. He sees no way but his way.

Trump is no different, and many of us tired of the socialist direction like to hear him talk. I happen to like the rule of law, 3 involved branches of government..

I am tired of the egoist who feels his own victory is good for me. Certainly, I could applaud his stance on some things...Iran deal, etc, but all he is doing now is voicing the frustrations of the American citizens.

I would prefer a President who understand how our government works, has ideas but can listen to both sides and who takes responsibility (not credit) for his decisions. Not Obama and not Trump.

Trump sounds good after 6 years of what we have had.

I agree with you, BUT America started looking for celebrity status a long time ago and proved it by voting for a nobody with no experience, but a loud mouth, just like Trump. The difference? Well, for one thing Trump may be a bull in a china shop, but it's his china shop. He is successful, and if he does get the nomination, then Republicans better pull together to support him or we will have someone like Hilary or a socialist like Sanders. Given the choice, I will swallow my pride and pull the lever for the lesser evil.

Let's face it we have lived so long with an incompetent president and an array of do nothings for so long that voters have lost this bearings.

The Democrats have lived so long with radical progressives that one can not distinguish between a Democrat and a socialist. Based on Bernie Sanders polling numbers it appears the transformation is shaping up nicely for them and they have Elizabeth Warren waiting in the wings.

Who is a real conservative.? I dunno? We have a wealth of GOP candidates that claim that mantle but and in a sotto voce declaration tell you that the night before but you know they are going to disrespect you in the morning. Beside what does conservative mean anymore? (See below)

The leading GOP candidate is Trump. Trump has learned long ago the art of the deal. He knows controversey sells no matter if it is good or bad publicity because continuing to be in the public's eye is the name of the game and public has a short attention span as to why. to wit kardashian/Kanaye

Trump gained popularity because he never conformed to political correctness and the country has grown weary of political correctness. So his directness appears fresh and new. Trump also speaks to the voters frustration and anger. But what many voters do not hear is that every time a question comes to him demanding details his response is "whatever." Well that 3:00 AM call on the red phone demands more than a "whatever"

In the beginning my reaction to Trump was, good he will change the conversation, and on his own, after a time, he will burn himself out. I had little respect for Trump but after his unkind and thoughtless remarks concerning Carly Fiorina I have no respect for him (period)

These are the candidates I have my sights on through the remainder of this campaign. Carly Fiorina, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz ,Marco Rubio and Bobby Jindhal I do so because their comments and their action speak to their sincerity and genuineness . Secondly they respond with detailed and logical answers and clearly demonstrate their intelligence, creativity and sound judgments. And because it is clear that these are candidates who would truly represent and serve ALL OF THE PEOPLE and do so honorably.

I'll answer the question I posed above..what does a conservative mean anymore? to me its means addressing all issues of national importance based on our Constitution and remembering we are a nation not of men but of laws and that the rule of law shall prevail.

Personal Best Regards:

I could not agree more with each and every word.
