Classified furniture prices

Someone recently complained on here about some of the unrealistic furniture prices now in the classifieds. I noticed this morning a sofa that is clearly in a furniture store not a home. Perhaps this is the explanation.

I also noticed awhile back a sofa set complete with tables offered for $250 then the furniture store must have got it because it changed to $500 for just the sofa and an additional similar amount for the tables.

We often list things very reasonable or free to go to people here that can use them....I hate to think a furniture company is getting them in disguise as that was not the intention.

My take on the ad for the sectional is that they purchased it a few months ago and decided they didn't need it or maybe purchased it to stage a home or any number of reasons and now they want to sell it. When I saw it I assumed they took that picture when they bought it at the store. I've never seen ads directly placed from a furniture store in the classified section and I watch the ads every day. If you believe this is happening you can e-mail talkofthevillages@gmail.com and report it to the administrator. Also $500 seems like an excellent price for such a nice piece of furniture.

Anyone selling anything can ask for any price!!!!

If you don't like it - don't buy it.

If it doesn't sell it WILL come down!
