I heard a rumor from the cousin of the barber working next to the one who was cutting my hair, that Two Jays in Brownwood officially opens on Monday, the 14th. Can it be true?

There is an article in this morning's Daily Sun about Toojays. Construction work is finished, it has a contemporary appearance inside and will open to the public on Monday at 7am.

Lots, especially if they are giving out free Bagels to the first 100 visitors! Have to have something to do before they show up at the bank for free coffee and popcorn! Only in TV!

My home. I can take Publix Sweet Ham and fix it many different ways; a lot less expensive. I can even open a can of soup if I want soup and sandwich.

To me the food is Such a minor part of eating out. It is all about relaxing and enjoying The company of My hubby and friends.

I agree. That's why I asked. We love cooking at home and don't eat out as frequently as many in TV.

They had a soft opening last night. The decor was very nice and the food was good!

Yes going out for us is something we do once in a great while to let our neighbors know that we are sociable. Both my wife and I like to cook beside which too often I end up eating burgers and fries because the menu is limited or not appealing.

Us too. But I love Toojays. On Wednesday's....half a brisket sandwich, be sure to get horseradish on the side.....and yummy rich red flavorful Cabbage Beef soup.

I like to cook at home. I like to cook for friends at home. Yesterday I made chicken and noodles. Salad. And Coffee watching the news.

I'll admit I'm that in that fading demographic---WASPs, but living in Brooklyn for a while I acquired a taste for Dr. Brown's cel-ray soda. Hadn't seen it in 30 years until I found it at Too-jays

I prefer eating at home especially breakfast it's so quick and easy to fix and it's pennies. I do however enjoy eating a really good ruben. Too Jays is about the only thing we have in the area

That brings back memories. I used to pick up the newspapers for my paper route in front of an ice cream shop and get a vanilla egg cream for $.10 every once in a while. Yummy!

Consider this.
1. Onejay's is SS.
2. Twojay's is LSL.
3. Threejay's is Brownwood.

Their cabbage beef soup is the best. You can also have a cup of coffee and NY styled cheesecake is yum. :mmmm:

Don't waste time going to this location. Was there for breakfast this am & it wasn't busy...Help me understand.....how do have a restaurant that has a menu item "fresh fruit" served daily all day long & NOT HAVE ANY FRUIT PREPPED? My breakfast order came out incorrect to add insult to my experience. I was given a few canned mandarin oranges & some sliced strawberries that were not fresh??? The manager apologized & took care of my husbands food, but ........come on really...TooJays SS & LSL ROCK!!

They will get it fixed....same owners as SS and LSL. Growing pains are always present with new openings.

Agree. We were there yesterday for lunch. They were quite busy, but surprisingly organized and cheerful. Service was maybe a little slow, but otherwise ok and you could tell everyone was really trying to do a good job and keep up. Our waiter, Charlie, was new but personable and attentive, and there were several manager/trainer-types fussing about. Anyway, food was hot and well prepped and we got what we asked for. The décor is bright and cheery. We will be back - with the understanding that it takes some time to become a well-oiled machine.

Cheesecake at Junior's is much better. And you get the rude waiters for free!

This is what we think as well. Since we are south of 466A, we are pleased that more places are opening up in Brownwood.
