Good point ... not hard to see why the social sickness and dysfunction is transmitted from one generation to the next.

The single biggest deficiency on the part of the modern Black population today is the complete inability to parent and raise kids in any type of responsible way. Thus, this crap just perpetuates itself. Sad and everyone loses.

It IS sad. I find it disturbing when I see jokes about stuff like this.

A once proud black race has been set back when in fact they should have been moving ahead.

The opportunities in January of 2009 were simply awesome. The race situation is this country has taken a number of large steps backward. What our administration considered support for the black race has been translated into more and more the entitlement situation which NO race should need to endure.

We are now left with leaders such as Sharpton, who advises the President, to organizations like the Black Panthers and Black Lives Matter who has an agenda that is not meant to serve anything but insuring that hate is continues.

I marched with MLK once but certainly followed what he believed in.

MLK would be totally devastated at what has happened, not only with his race, but his movement.

Did you notice what the majority of those rioters were wearing? Hoodies

I can't imagine the mind set there. Baltimore mayor said let them have fun. Now the Baltimore mayor is not going to run again because the polling for her is at ground level. Unfortunately Mosby's (prosecutor) husband is going to run

Lets see, black mayor, black prosecutor, and dead black thug. Dead black thug's family gets awarded millions within record short time period. Nope, nothing to see here. Private businesses got how much in damages for the mayor's refusal to protect? Let's see, Democrat, Democrat, and Democrat thug's family. I wonder how many business owners in Baltimore will change party affiliation.

Seems like all the worst spots in America are run by Democrats. That should suggest something.

Maryland has a Republican governor. Was he asleep on the job when the rioting began? As head of the state, he is responsible for the safety of the cities and outranks the city mayor. He should have called out the National Guard on his own instead of waiting for the mayor to ask. Sounds incompetent for a governor.

You did not mention whether he was white or black.

Can you imagine a white governor calling out the national guard to quell a black riot in a balck population with a black mayor?

And if he is black I would ask the same question!!

This is a total joke of a comment .... Democrat everything in the City of Baltimore including voters ... go back and read the list. And you say the Republican governor is the guy responsible??? WTF?

You are a PERFECT illustration of the problem here ... Democrats don't begin to understand what being responsible is or even means

If incompetence is the question then the top of the list belongs to the profoundly stupid, racist, mayor!

You are a PERFECT example of the Republicans don't begin to understand what being responsible is or even means.

The governor is the leader of the state. If there were riots in Orlando, Scott would be the person in charge of calming them.

Larry was asleep on the job as Maryland governor. He should have taken charge immediately. Doesn't matter if the voters or party in power is Republican or Democrat. The governor is the top state official and should have been there in Baltimore in charge of the situation.

So tell us, do you think Larry should have ordered the National Guard to shoot the looters ... staring with rubber bullets but escalating if they failed to disperse? That's what should have happened in my view ...

Anyone recall the Gov and the Mayor walking off the set of CNN when pressed on why they did not take action earlier. They just left the set.

When did we become a country that "allowed" violence in our streets ?

Demonstrating, as MLK did, is a tradition but this violent, damaging action needs to be handled in a like manner.

You missed the entire point of the post. Both of them for that matter.
Or I should say ignored them both to allow for the usual dumb :censored: commentary......not again but per :censored: usual.

Let's say that Gov. Larry should have done exactly what Gov. Scott would have done in the exact situation - same cause of the rioting, etc.

Or former Gov. Huckabee in the exact situation.

Or former Gov. Palin in the exact situation.

I will assume that poster was the same one who always answers a direct question by asking another. HE never answers the question...HE never will discuss the point being made.

HE is all about trying to be the smart @&& in the room with trying to put everyone on the spot.

Dear Guest: You may want to contrast in reality what governors do or can do when they compete with Mayors that do not fall in line with their agenda. Two examples that come to mind are New York City and Chicago. Politics is always local.

This nation is very divisive too pre-occupied with playing the blame game. Voters/taxpayer/citizens should work in unison in their grievances to not party but all politicians. Its the Hatfields and Mccoys gone national. It didn't end well for these to families nor will it for this nation.

Personally, I reached the point were if divisiveness is spewing from a politicians mouth its a turn off meaning change the station. UGLY EQUALS DIVISIVENESS. VOTE FOR SOLUTIONS NOT POLLUTION

Personal Best Regards:

Personally, I think that the mayor should be charged and fired for her actions/in-actions during the rioting. The States Attorney should have been fired also for convicting the cops in the media before they were even investigated, showing her bias. If I was in charge, and they can thank the Lord I'm not, I would have used the same technique they use on our naval ships to repel unwanted boarders, a high pressure water hose to begin with. And then physical force. Anyone rioting and destroying property has given up all civil rights and deserves whatever happens to them, be it a clubbing, tear gas, or rubber bullets. If they are physically and possibly permanently injured, then that is on themselves since they were putting their neighbors' and neighbor's property in danger. If we don't stop these riots at the start, then they grow and get out of control. I have no sympathy at all for those that resort to physical violence when they are angry. They were criminally wrong and the mayor contributed to their actions and was also criminally wrong.

Is that what former Governor Huckabee or former Governor Palin would have ordered?

WHY is this even a valid question ?????

Only valid if your idea is to criticize folks who are of a party different from yours ?

HAS NOTHING to do with the subject at hand, now does it.

Sometimes people just make themselves look bad trying to bash others and this is a great example. You seem to have your britches all tied up in Huckabee and Palin for some reason.

Baiting my betters? In this chat room with all the senile geezers who should be enjoying their few remaining years playing Par 3 golf but just want to espouse their Tea Bag mentality; I have no "betters".

Now, back to Palin, Scott, or Huckabee - what would they do in such a circumstance as in Charm City?

There is a thread in non villages about people having a twisted and distorted view of The Villages, called OH NO..NOT THE VILLAGES.

This poster has this same theme in about 80%'of his posts or more, and at times he also posts in Topix using the same theme.

And those on the regular forum are shocked at how people view The Villages. He and cohorts will also go after people by screen name.

Just be aware of the people who did consider The Villages view our community, and thos who think this is some kind of political haven. THIS is the place where those ideas are born. As you can see, his posts are juvenile, uninformed and create images that are embarrassing.

The amazing thing about this particular poster is that he has complained here, and on the regular forum about the "other side" bullying him and his cohorts.

He is right about 10% of the time.....

The other 90 plus percent are responding to his and those of his crew and then he cries.

He feels this forum is beneath him, and why he still posts is beyond me. He feels he soars above us all, but cannot even put together a solid political post that is not 100% a dig at people who have succeeded in their life, which tells you a lot. He makes it all about the person, not the issue, and he still feels as if we are privileged to be in his company.

Everyone, or most, know exactly who he is, but he does not even get embarrassed.
