The Yankees are exactly where I like 'em - out of the playoffs.

HOWEVER, I respect them way too much and it's not over til it's over.

Go Cubs/White Sox

I love the way the Yankees are playing right now. The Sox just took them 2 out of 3 @ Yankee Stadium. :clap2: 040 :clap2:

I am a Yankee fan and I was never happy with their bullpen this year. Resigning Petitte was a big mistake and making Farnsworth a closer was no good. And they are proving me right.

The bad news is that we do not get many Yankee games down here.

The good news is that we do not get many Red Sox games down here.

zcaveman, I don't follow the yankees all that much, but I do agree about Pettitte.

I might not be able to see the broadcast of the Red Sox beating the NYY but the thrill of the their series victories remain priceless!!

Am caught between two worlds....grew up as a Red Sox fan (still think that Bucky Dent's middle name is %&#@+$) and started following the Rays years ago out of masochism.

Go Sox - onto the playoffs!

Go Rays - they prove TEAM PLAY beats a gaggle of individual egotistical superstars...

My angst will be if the Sox and Rays end up in the AL finals....

As a Yankee fan I can only say "wait till next year". I think this is the first time since 1931 that the Yankees have missed the post season ;)

OK it just seems that way :#1:

My two favorite teams are the Boston Red Sox and any team playing The Yankees.

With all the kind words I had to check and make sure this was not a Red Sox forum.

I guess I will use an old Red Sox slogan - Wait until next year!

We really need George Costanza back!!

Of course it is, ever hear of the Red Sox Nation. When the Sox play away games, several stadiums have more Sox fans than the host team.

MMC: That is so true. Went to a game on the west coast and the Red Sox Nation was there in full force.

So -- how ABOUT those Yankees -- hahaha A-Rod has sure stuck it to them. That's what Steinbrenner JR gets !! Can't stand the guy.

I do believe that the Yankee fans do the same at away games. We just do not have a catchy name.

Ouch!! Mine was the opposite. The Yankees and anyone playing the Red Sox - especially the Tampa Bay Rays. I think they have your number!!:clap2:

The Rays will be the team I root for this year!! And the Chicago Cubs.

I'm watching the last game to be played at Yankee Stadium and just realized the thing that I will probably miss the most at TV - Yankee baseball and more importantly Yankee baseball on the Yes network with Michael Kay. ESPN has him guest announcing the 7th inning and his expertise and professionalism is heads and shoulders better than the ESPN crew.
