Thanks Tal!
I like Monk, but it's like Murder She Wrote... I think I've seen them all, and more than once. However -- My rule of thumb is that if I can't identify the killer within the first 5 minutes it doesn't count as a rerun. ;)

I have seen all of these too. You can get the Monk series DVDs for much of the series from the Lake County Library System http://www.lakeline.lib.fl.us/ if you have a card. That is why I originally joined the Lake County Library System as a Sumter County resident because they had the Monk series on DVD.

Ah Judy, you discount the advantages of getting old. I too watch the same MSW episodes every night, and I'm always surprised at the outcome. Of course I also have 4 Agatha Christie novels that i reread often. I've never guessed the murderer, though I've come close occasionally.
Oh, and back to Monk --- I like Natalie a lot better than the Bitty Schrum character, and how did Disher make Lieutenant and how does he avoid getting fired?

Tal: That's reason enough to join the library! Do they have other series on DVD? I'm thinking particularly of Midsomer Murders and Foyle's War? I think we're the only people in Utah who watch PBS.
Donna: Me too! He's so lovable, in a weird kind of way.
Muncle: I have no idea how Lt. Disher got promoted OR how he keeps his job. That's more preposterous than everything else in the series! LOL
Mr. JoC and I have watched them all, too. I can get a little obsessive if something is crooked and he says "oh, oh, your Monk Shui (not feng shui) is kicking in. He's a funny guy.

Looks like the Lake County Library System has Midsomer Murder DVDs as well as Foyle's War DVDs.
I have been watching Seasons 1 through 4 of HBO's The Wire on DVD. I also got these from the Lake County Library System.

Monk's 100th episode sure was fun especially for ardent fans who have seen many of the episodes which the 100th one make reference to at some point.
This 100th episode is on again Sunday morning at 9:00 am and then again on Tuesday early morning at 1:05 a.m. on USA. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0312172/tvschedule

I love Monk so much, I wish he was real and that I could know him! That is the dearest, funniest character I've seen in a long time. ;D :#1:

Wouldn't it have been funny to have a Lieutenant Columbo / Adrian Monk crime-fighting team! 1rnfl

What an amusing idea tkret. :agree: Had to check if Peter Falk was even still alive and kicking though. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000393/ He could almost be Monk's grandfather?

You are right about Foyle's War uujudy. Extremely well done series from the two episodes I have watched from the first season. I got these from the Lake County Library System.
Midsomer Murders seems to come from the same author-- Anthony Horowitz -- as Foyle's War.

Started watching Midsomer Murder mysteries. These are quite good. I did not know what I was missing. I still try to catch Monk every once in a while. Love the opening scenes of San Francisco and Monk's antics.

I do see Monk is on Prism as well. Not sure what channel though. They are still making Midsomer Murders.
