How is the overall cellphone coverage for Verizon and AT&T in TV area?

It all depends on where in TV you are. It varies widely. This is a common question. As I posted earlier in a similar thread, check with the NSA, they know which cellphone service is the best!!

Live in The Village of St. Charles. My ATT coverage is always great. Never a problem.

Our AT&T coverage in Lake Deaton usually gets one to two bars inside. Voice is garbled from time to time. Improvement in coverage is needed.

Live in Tamarind- both are seriously problematic.

None of them are stellar mostly because there is too much traffic and not enough towers. Just don't get hooked into a 2 year contract.

AT&T in Labelle is terrible. Barely get one bar in our home and most calls are dropped unless we are out on the lanai or standing right next to a window or door.

You might be eligible for the AT&T Microcell box at no cost. This is a small box that creates a cell zone in your house and routes calls through the internet. It connects to your router with a cat5 ethernet cable. Setup is trivial and it works great. Call AT&T.

while the microcell may be a good fit for your problem, if you have good wifi try exploring one of the free wifi calling apps like google voice or hangouts on android....don't know what is available for apple. most give you a good quality voice connection. I use magicjack for phone service and it comes with it's own free call app. oh, by free I mean free to download and ths calls are free.

I'm in Tamarind-when we first moved her we had to dump AT&T, use Verizon no problem, if you are too close to a cell tower-your reception will stink--the expression is you're under the gun

I live in the Waverly Villa's in Piedmont and my Verizon reception is terrible both in my home and out.

There is an free app (Open signal) you can down load onto your cell phone, that will show you which provider has the strongest signal where you are. Seems to work very well, shows Version as the strongest in my section of Labelle.

Anyone use T-Mobile?
I tried TMobile. It was terrible. Went to T Mobile counter at Walmart. They agreed with me. That's when I went with Cricket

TMobile was awful - switched to Cricket (AT&T) for $35/mt on auto pay and its good in most areas including Fl and up to NY. Go to the Cricket store they will set it up for you and xfer your number

Had exact same experience. Like you, paying my $35 a month auto pay to. Cricket and get great coverage.

Anyone use T-Mobile?
T mobile works okay one to two bars most days near 466a but lately you need to stand on one foot on the roof with your arm in the air and even then it quits. I thought T Mobile worked always on ATT towers.
If you need the cell in the house, get VoIP, much more reliable. Via talk, zoom a, even magic jack...you could transfer calls to and from VoIP if needed...and Via Talk has so many features...you can see anyone who calls in or outs time date, online messaging, block anyone, rings for special people and on and on, Luis it is cheap and equipment is free.

We are in St Charles and use Consumer Cellular. We have good coverage and their customer service is the best ever. No yearly contracts and you can make changes to your plan month to month.
