What have most of you used in a spare room? Do your guest prefer twin or queen? I am putting in a queen wall bed in one guest room to allow space for our office. I think twin beds would allow flexibility, but I think most married couples prefer queen? I imagine we will have guest more in Florida than I did in Texas. Ideas or thoughts?

I have a queen and a twin in my guest room. Usually, with guests they are both full. (Have 5 grandchildren) If just one couple, they use twin for their suitcases. Works out great.

We have a very comfortable trundle bed in our guest room that is a twin most of the time but another twin under it that rises to the level of the other bed when in use to make a king or two twins. I think guests prefer a king over a queen.

"THEY" say to decorate for the percent when there is not company. You can always use inflatable beds and sleeping bags until you find out how much company you will actually have. We have a queen bed in one bedroom and a sofa and loveseat in the other bedroom.

It is a mystery to me!!

We are not the norm, having 4 adult kids, spouses and 12 (yep 12) grandkids. We have queen beds in each of the two guest rooms.

I really have thought of putting 2 bunk beds in one of the guest rooms. We don't have the whole family often, but when we do it is wall to wall sleeping bags.

Costco sells these sleeping pads that are great. They fold in thirds and therefore take up very little space. Each is a 4" thick vinyl covered foam pad that is twin size. They are actually quite comfy with a sleeping bag and pillow.

I'm conflicted..... We don't use the guest rooms at all unless we have company. Then we need a 5-6 bedroom house. It is feast or famine.

Open to any suggestions!
