Just received notification from Florida Blue my Part D Rx premiums for 2016 are going from $60.80 per month to $75.70 per month and the annual deductible from $70.00 to $350, yes that's not a typo, 350 Dollars . Looking for alternatives but NOT part C Advantage plans. I guess some CEO didn't get a big enough bonus last year !

When I was researching last year I thought FB was not competitive . Way out of line, Check Cigna, Humana, etc. I do not think FB wants to be in the Part D arena .

Humana merged. We purchased the Humana RX and regretted because we paid more for the RX's they refused to honor than we did for the annual premium.

The price increases are just beginning

Wish it was just a CEO issue......we will continue to subsidize health care for everyone which some believe is a good thing. We found FB to be a non-player for what we required.

When Open Enrollment begins, go to medicare.gov, click on Drug coverage (Part D) and select Find Health & Drug Plans. Follow the steps to select the best drug plan for YOU.

By the way, we all should do this every year.

Thanks for the advise, i will definitely check that out. It's the premiums and deductible that concerns me. The actual cost of drugs is minor. I only take 3 all of which are tier 1 generics.

Please, let's all be sure to point these things out to the young people and any others that continue to complain about all our "senior" entitlements and everything we are getting for "free".

I am still searching for their definition of "free".:loco::loco::loco:

Got our new coverage plan for Humana part D and the premium for the preferred (I think it is called), went from $38/2014 to $56/2015 to $71/2016.

Time to do some serious shopping of providers.

Where are those folks who think their premiums for health care coverage are going to go down.

Anybody who has a part D plan that did not go up for 2016, please enlighten the rest of us.

Go to medicare. Gov, you can compare plans, you can enter your rx and see it is covered. Also, use mail order, many generics are free. Don't pick any plan that has 0 deductible if you have few:BigApplause::BigApplause: rx. Remember insurance is a gamble
