Does anyone know, approximately the cost of having gutters installed per foot?
Has anyone done their own? Is it difficult? What was the cost, per foot of materials?

We have used Hills. Designer home $700. Premier $900. This is an all-in cost. They were highly recommended by a number of people on ToTV. I didn't think too long about doing it myself with all the ladder time and it being more than a one person job.
Sorry I don't know the per foot costs.

Stipes Gutters. $1.50 per foot and $30 per downspout. Used him for two homes and very satisfied.

We also used Hills. That was several years ago but it was a great job. Later I called them to move of elbows to route the runoff to the beds not the driveway or sidewalk. They did that, no charge. They do other things too. I had them install my attic stairs. Nice neat job,

I'd caution you against doing it yourself. It's definitely not a one person job. If you don't get the run off correct you'll do more damage than good having water trapped in your gutters. Obviously if you DIY you can't do seamless. Now if it's only a shed or something smaller that's just one straight run you could easily hang something like that.
Just my 2 cents.

I had Stipes, Hill, Helmet and M&M come over and give estimates...we live in a Anchor cottage and are only having 3 sides done...the cost ran from about $380 to $550...about 120ft of gutter, 5 downspouts, 6 splash guards. You do the math...

I have a Sun Kissed cottage which is a bit smaller then the Anchor. I measured all around and came up with 235 feet. I'm surprised that three side of an Anchor are only $120 feet.
If you don't mind my asking, why are you only having three sides done? And who did you finally go with?

The front guttering is already done on most homes when they are released for sale. We carefully checked costs. We chose MandM and felt the quality was excellent.

only three sides because that fourth side only has one small window and it's lawn right up to the house...the rain can fall as hard as it wants and there are no issues with plants or entry ways...the footage was based on an estimate...my total came to about 140', but one contractor figured it at the 120ft(no idea how, but I'll not argue unless he changes the cost and as my wife asked how he came to that amount and backed it up)...

Helmet had the longest warranty at lifetime...M&M's was 1 year...Stipes is 2 years..

I just contracted with Helmet Gutters for $899 tax included to do the entire house.
I looked at my lawn all around the house and see that I am developing trenches under the eaves. I also think that it's a good idea to protect the air conditioner.
I really like the lifetime warranty and think it's good to be dealing with a national company as opposed to some guy who buys the gutters are Home Depot and installs them. You don't know if some of these people are going to be around in two years.
