I know this has been discussed before but when I did a search the posts were 2 years old. I thought I would post this here since this forum gets a lot of traffic.

:024:We're interested in your experiences with Tricare in TV. We've had Tricare Prime for several years and have been very happy with this plan. We aren't eligible for Tricare for Life yet. We'll be moving here full time in 2016. When we checked the Humana website, there were only 4 physicians listed as PCM's.

Does anyone have experience with this group in Leesburg? If you use the Standard/Extra plan are there any physicians who take Tricare in/near TV?

Thanks in advance for your input.

We have Standard (& extra). Accepted by Villages Health and many others within the region. I had heard that Prime was problematic in this area.

I have Tricare Standard and have a PCP with Villages Health and so far it's been accepted by all the specialty clinics I've been to. No complaints.

I HAD prime here, and just converted back to standard. There are very few MDs that take prime. I had to go to Leesburg to find one that I hoped would be acceptable. I'm not thrilled with the doctor or the clinic. Before I came here, I loved prime. I was close to a military hospital and my PCM referred me to every specialist I requested. Down here, my PCM will not refer me to anyone, and yet cannot fix my hip problem, going on 6 months now. I'm on my third bottle of motrin (90 day script), and still not fixed. I finally gave up on him, and will seek a closer more amenable doctor.

I have Standard and a supplement, no issues finding doctors that take them.

Timely discussion for us. We have sold our house at the Jersey Shore and will be full-time residents of TV in mid-October. We currently use TriCare Prime and see our PCM at a MTF. Very satisfied. A bit disturbing to hear TC Prime is less than adequate locally. Can we use a PCM at MacDill? I know it's a bit of a journey, but hate to switch to Standard. Won't it end up much more costly?
I appreciate all the input you can give us!

I imagine you could us PCM at Macdill. Prime mainly for close proximity of Military base (I thing prime going up in OCT.? So far Tricare Standard costs me nothing. I sure that will change sometime in the future?) were your Primary doctor at the Gov. facility. There no Close Military Hospital cLose to the villages. So, Think that's the reason its not offered in this area? Beyond the mileage limit? You can go to The TRICARE Prime Program | Military.com (http://www.military.com/benefits/tricare/prime/tricare-prime-overview.html)

and read up on it. But IMO standard so far for me been alright especially if you get your meds. from express scripts, you meds will be delivered to your door, so you don't have to fool with Pharmacy.
