I was donating platelets while watching the whole movie except the last minutes of The Judge The Judge*(2014) - Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_judge_2014/) at the OneBlood Villages donation center near the Villages Regional Hospital. I did stick around to watch the ending which was only a few minutes left.

As I was leaving I read the information about the donor who is the OneBlood Donor of the Month for that location and was amazed by this man's story of having graduated from college with an IQ of 150 around 1987, then been in an accident with a pick up hitting the bike he was on in 1993, and now after losing some of his intellect from the brain injury caused by this accident, he has gone through this platelet donating experience 187 times. :BigApplause:

While in the platelet chair, I had noticed a couple taking pictures of this display for the Donor of the Month and it actually seemed to be the honoree and his mother who probably live in or near the Villages. Share Your Power - Donate Blood (http://www.oneblood.org/)

All the platelet chairs at OneBlood were full yesterday when I went there. One of the guys was watching Marley and Me but had a dry eye whenever I looked at him.

A story about a fellow nearby blood donor which I hope will inspire other TOTVers to donate blood no matter where they are now.

I was scheduled to donate today but cancelled. I have a friend who needs my help. Anyway, I can only donate 3 times between now and the end of the year. I may reschedule all of them to be closer to the holidays when a lot of donors are out of town.

I seem to have seven more donations for platelets left this year with these being about every two weeks or so. I sometimes have to reschedule these though due to illness, unforeseen family problems, car problems, etc.

Yesterday, I learned that the lower my iron count the shorter my time on the platelet donation chair. Except how would I enjoy an almost 2.5 hour movie like The Judge? They seem to also be getting some newer movies that I have not seen yet.

I watch a huge amount of movies and TV shows looking for 224 613 references. I know, crazy. I have been trying to get Hollywood involved in my 224 613 Project since 1992. I thought it would take some very creative move like this to really get the attention needed on the problems I was trying to address with the 224 613 Project. Just an aside. I was quite happy with The Judge though. :D
