Putin is right when it comes to beating ISIS in Syria. Didnt we learn anything with Iraq. If Hussein was still in Iraq we wouldnt have ISIS. Leave Assad in power get rid of ISIS and he will keep the country in control. Maybe not the way we would like it but then it isnt our business.

First let me correct you on something. ISIS grew where it is today as part of the Syrian conflict.

"This left ISIS to "gradually emerge as an autonomous component within the Syrian conflict," according to Lister, by absorbing Nusra fighters and territory in northern and eastern Syria. In February 2014, ISIS was formally exiled from al-Qaeda, making it and Jabhat al-Nusra into enemies."

April 2013: The birth of ISIS - The Syria war: a history - Vox (http://www.vox.com/cards/syrian-refugees-war-assad/isis-founded)

That is one link of many and I suggest you read a bit more about this Syria Tragedy.

Now, a few questions to stimulate your debate and hope to hear back from you on this because I am confused and frustrated.

1. What happened to the highly touted 60 nation coalition our President put together ? This is from 2014 White House touts "broad coalition" in anti-ISIS campaign - Videos - CBS News (http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/white-house-touts-broad-coalition-in-anti-isis-campaign/)

I actually recall the WH press secretary making light of the Bush administration when he rolled this star studded coalition. I think we deserve an answer to this.

2. The RED LINE that was drawn and not crossed with Syria as they gassed children in the street. Does that not count now because Putin got on board ?

3. President Obama has INSISTED MANY TIMES that Assad must go.

August 2011...."President Obama and European leaders called Thursday for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to resign, after months of his violent crackdown on protesters. The rhetorical escalation was backed by new U.S. sanctions designed to undermine Assad’s ability to finance his military operation." Assad must go, Obama says - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/assad-must-go-obama-says/2011/08/18/gIQAelheOJ_story.html)

And again today he says the same thing....Assad must go.

4. Why were we not involved in putting this coalition together ? This caught the entire US government by surprise this weekend. "For the second time this month, Russia moved to expand its political and military influence in the Syria conflict and left the United States scrambling, this time by reaching an understanding, announced on Sunday, with Iraq, Syria and Iran to share intelligence about the Islamic State.

Like Russia’s earlier move to bolster the government of President Bashar al-Assad by deploying warplanes and tanks to a base near Latakia, Syria, the intelligence-sharing arrangement was sealed without notice to the United States. American officials knew that a group of Russian military officers were in Baghdad, but they were clearly surprised when the Iraqi military’s Joint Operations Command announced the intelligence sharing accord on Sunday. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/28/world/middleeast/iraq-agrees-to-share-intelligence-on-isis-with-russia-syria-and-iran.html?_r=0

Now, perhaps Putin tells Assad to step down and that makes Obama happy and we join the RUSSIAN coalition but what does that do if the same Russian backed government returns and no matter what you hear, IT WILL.

I really think the US citizens deserve some answers, if for no other reason than to be assured someone is driving this train.

We could not even train the Iraq troops to fight but now......

And our government has said and the world agrees...."Senior Obama administration officials told a Senate panel Wednesday that it is “nearly certain” Iran will continue funding terrorism with the tens of billions of dollars it stands to gain if Congress approves a nuclear deal that would lift economic sanctions on the country. Obama Administration 'Nearly Certain' Iran Will Still Fund Terrorism - US News (http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2015/08/05/obama-administration-nearly-certain-iran-will-still-fund-terrorism)

Can someone put these pieces together ? What is happening ? We know Iran funds terrorism and now we will fight with them against a terrorism group ??

Sounds to me like we have been asked to insure that Russia and Iran have the power in the entire middle east. They now have us fighting with a supporter of terrorism assisting the gasser of children who we said must leave.

I'm sure that Putin gave Obama his instructions when they met. Obama will lead from behind again, also known by common folks as "following" orders. Obama is a pathetic loser that should never have been elected to office. He wasn't even a good senator. The world is suffering because of America's mistake. He doesn't have a clue. He's still trying to get the UN to ban cow farts.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with the idea of Sadaam in Iraq. Sadaam was a madman and very mentally disturbed. He killed hundreds of thousands of citizens, and kidnapped and tortured young girls on the street. If you ever see an Iraqi with his ear cut/disfigured, it's most likely because he refused to serve in the Iraqi military when Sadaam was dictator. I talked to many Iraqis that we so glad we were there, and liberated them. It may not seem so, but we did a great thing for them. If there is a vacuum in the country it is because we didn't stay long enough to build and strengthen their gov. Once you conquer a country, it is your responsibility to assist the citizens, whether you wish to or not. We did a good thing in Iraq by ridding it of Sadaam. He was a monster.

Spot on ... I'm fatigued at this point ... Obama is a clueless loser and nothing he does surprises me any more. I meant the bad decisions and feckless actions are never ending.

Hasn't it been six years ignoring the problem, Obama?
