"THE MIX" - Daily Sun Saturday Insert

Does anyone out there know why "The Mix" insert in the Daily Sun News is separated into a North issue and a South issue?????? Why not ONE issue ? Many of us have friends and family all over TV - I'd like to see a COMPLETE reporting of all around TV. :bigthumbsup:

I wondered that from day one. I never liked the north of 466 and south of 466 designations in TOTV and now the Daily Sun is kind of enforcing it.

I too would like to know what is going on both north and south of 466.

I too Hate the Mix. I won't even bother to look at it. I live in the North and most of my friends and relatives live in the South. Bad :'( to divide TV.

I agree....when the first edition came out a month ago, I sent an email to the POC listed with this same concern. We are ONE Villages.... I care about the people and happenings throughout the community. Some of the human interest stories were wonderful and it's a shame that half the community won't see them. It's hard to believe that it's a volume/cost savings issue... call the Paper or write them an email and bring up your concerns.

On the plus side, I think it is well done and entertaining....just wish it was more inclusive.

By the way, I never got an acknowledgement or reply to my email.

EXCELLENT idea to barage them with email. We really showed our collective interest on the issue of that street being closed an made a difference too! Who can link us and write us an email?

I enjoyed the first edition of the new "Mix" supplement to the printed Daily Sun. It was artistically designed, full of interesting stories, and included nice pictures. The weekly format will give you the time and opportunity to collect and compile material.



My only disappointment was the decision to have separate editions for north and south of 466. Was this a cost saving decision? I travel all over the Villages and have friends in every corner of the community. I care about ALL of the Villages, not just my southern half. One of my concerns about the future, as we transition to resident-controlled government, is the tendency for people to become provincial..."if it doesn't benefit me, then I'm against it" We are all one Villages, from the first home on the historic side to the newest one in Hemingway to the last one to be built next to Brownwood. I read several very interesting articles in the "south" edition that my friends in the north will never see. That's too bad. I also checked the Daily Sun website and could not find either edition posted. So, I'll never know what the fine folks "up north" are up to.



Please, please reconsider your decision to have separate supplements...I strongly urge you to combine them together into ONE Villages Mix.

Run the spellcheck on it though, Villages07. I cut and pasted it and then spell checked it and sent it too to your provided email address. No reason on fixing what was not broken with the email you sent.

Maybe they'll get the people on the north to go to the south side to buy papers and visa versa.

i actually thought about driving south to buy a paper today. i hate to see our community divided and i feel deprived that didn't get to read the south side stories. will multiple rec news inserts be in our future?

Many newspapaers have what they call a "neighborhood" section. Each section of town gets a different insert. The Daily Sun probably thought people would enjoy reading about people and activities in their own area. Guess they were wrong.

I agree with you. I have friends on the north side and would like to see what is happening there. We are all one "village" and I think there should be one Mix. Why are we dividing The Village in half.
