I need some recommendations. Has anyone used either of these two house cleaning services and/or what have you heard about either. Jets Professional Cleaning? I appreciate any recommendations you can give. :)

swrinfla uses Daisy Maids and loves them. Just make sure that whoever you use is bonded and insured. You don't want a lawsuit because some trips.
lol Cassie. Know just what you mean. I do a good job on other peoples' homes but so-so is about as good as it gets at home.

Red's right. I've used Daisy Maids for a long time. They do good work.
Usually a different pair of gals each time - I gather turnover is pretty high - but they're always English speaking, courteous and accomodating. They're here an hour and a half (I'm in a Gardenia) or so.
I establish a regular schedule at least a year in advance, but they're also easy to change shoud something come up!

I have a couple whose company is Jet Professional Cleaning. We love them. I have them come in once a week. We both have bad backs and can't clean the bathrooms or the kitchen as well as we would like. Have had them for the three years we have lived here and never have any complaints.

We use Anderson Cleaning - every other week. The cleaners arrive at the same time every other Wednesday and are competent and thorough. They do change cleaners on occasion and every once in a while the boss lady shows up and helps clean.
If a problem occurs and we need to change a day or skip a week, they will changes days to accommodate us.

My partner and I have a residential maid service that works here in the Villages. We should have a banner ad up and running here on TOTV shortly. We are licensed, insured, and have excellent references. We do ALL types of cleaning and will help out with other types of small jobs that help our customers out. Please check out our website and our TOTV ad as soon as it's up and running. Or of course you can always reply through this post. it's free to have us come to your home and give you an estimate....and we DON"T use high pressure sales tactics!
Have a wonderful day:welcome: Deidre Walters
I made an appointment with Village Maid Service to have my house cleaned. The appointment was for 1:30 PM Monday afternoon. They didn't show up. They didn't call to cancel. And they haven't returned my calls.

Bare, that's just wrong! :ohdear: I'd never use someone you can't depend on. I am, however, looking for a woman named Pat that lives in Mallory. She advertised on TOTV before and I used her and she was wonderful. I can't find her!!!! Help!!!! Pat come forward please!
Does anyone know who she is or her phone number???

Bare,
I had a very similar experience with Villages Maid Service. They didn't show for appointment and did not return my phone calls. Not a very professional way to run a business.

Halle, you are so right, not professional at all! I wasted a whole afternoon of great weather sitting inside waiting for them. I left three phone calls for them and they didn't return my calls. Even a lame excuse and apology would have been more professional.
I will NEVER understand why businesses spend money advertising and when they get bookings, they don't show up.

There is an ad immediately to the left of the post for M & D maid service. They are licensed and insured, and best of all, they are sponsors of this board.

Jan,
The Villages Maid Service is also known as M & D the company that advertises on this site. That is the same company that did not show up for an appointment or return phone calls.

Yes Halle, I saw that too. One in the same company... wonder why they bother to advertise?

After my first post, I have since hired "Hometown Housecleaning Services" to clean our Villa. They are always on time, accomodating and polite. If you need to change a day or suspend for a month or so, there is never a problem. Susan (owner) is very versitile and they do a great job..:coolsmiley:

So far, thank goodness, I'm still able to clean my own home; but perhaps the day will come when I would need house cleaning service when/if I relocate to TV. I hadn't considered that in my budget.
Could anyone please tell me what these services mentioned would charge for a once/week cleaning (approximately) so I can add that to my projected budget? Thanks for any responses.

I called M & D Maids (aka Village Maids) because of the TOTV ad .. I wanted to give busines to an advertiser.
Halle and I both had negative experiences with them.

I have used Hometown Cleaning in the past and I will always use them in the future. They are professional, dependable, and extremely accomodating. Susan bends over backward to be flexible.
Wonderful company.
CIB, for prices look at the Hometown website. Like you, I'm still able to clean my own home. I just prefer not to.

I used to have Anderson but they raised their prices before a year was even up, so I fired them.

I've used Hometown Cleaning since I moved here two years ago. It's almost always the same two women. They are prompt, efficient and thorough. Highly recommend them.

After using several different cleaning people since moving to TV...I am now using SETTLE IN STYLE. Pat Ebbe is the supervisor..she and her sister are in business together. They do EXCELLENT work--and I enjoy it when they are here. Their prices are commensurate with all of the others I have used. The have others in their business to help out with other tasks such as household shopping, running errands, or putting your house in order. Pat comes to clean my house--and I highly recommend her! Her number is 352.207.5702 or pat@settleinstyle.com

I have used Hometown since I first moved here, 2 years ago. Reliable, flexible, pleasant and very satisfactory work. If I didn't like them I would have changed, since there are many choices available.
I was just informed by Ultra Kleanerz that they are now only doing commercial work. Gonna give Hometown a try.

Me too, they cleaned my house for the past few months and I was very pleased with them. They broke the news to me today. I was going to post a message asking for referrals for another cleaning service. Let us know. Thanks

I used the above mentioned cleaners prior to Ultra Kleanerz. They were okay, but very slow. I think they are best for organizing and getting a home ready for sale. Nice lady, but to slow for me.

I haven't noticed that she is slower than anyone else I have used (she IS very thorough). Not sure why it would make a difference, however---she doesn't charge by the HOUR---she charges by the size of your home and what you want done! Very much worth getting a quote from Pat Ebbe at Settle In Style..352.207.5702. Her business also will do things like pack, organize, unpack, pick up groceries if you need them, etc. etc. She does a great job cleaning my home.
I've had several house cleaners since I have lived in The Villages--and she is the best that I have found!

I, too, use Daisy Maids and feel they do a good job. I have had several different crews but all have been willing to do a thorough job. My only complaints are (1) they really don't allow enough time to do all of the things that are listed as "givens".... so they always have to call the next person explaining that they will be late, and (2) they will call to say they are running late or they will call to ask if they can come early. It's really difficult to plan anything on the days they are scheduled because of this.
However, these are minor in the broad scope of things, and I feel the advantages of using Daisy Maids far outweigh the little issues.

Did you find "Pat?" I'm looking for a good, reasonable house cleaning service on a bi-weekly basis. Let me know if you found this woman. I would be interested in contacting her.

You're quoting a post from 2008! Have you read the more current recommendations?
There is a post in 2012 that gives a telephone number for a Pat.
