There are bins...with a letter slot....just read the signs so you don't use the wrong one! I got confused a couple of times! ;)

There are slots that you can drop the mail off at the mail boxes. Of course, they seem to be in a different spot at every site, so good luck on finding it.

I don't know about the rest of you, but, it seems when I put a letter into the local neighborhood postal center 'outgoing' slot that it takes at least one day longer to reach its final destination than if it is mailed at the post office. Our postal workers are contract carriers operating out of their personal vehicles. I wonder if the outgoing mail ends up in their vehicle for an extra day and doesn't make it back to the post office til the next day?
As an alternative JohnN, there is a mobile post office van at Sweetbay on Tues and Thurs...something I mailed there on a Tues (1st Class) arrived in DC suburbs on Friday.

We use the Post Office at either 301 or the one over in Spanish Springs area on 441/27 in the Historic side. Much better than the postal drop off places we have at each Village in my opinion.

well, by the neighborhood pool where I pick up mail, there's a slot that looks like a bank night depository and SCRATHED with a knife (very professional LOLOLOL) says - mail, drop in here LOLOLOL... really gives me a good feeling.
I was up at Spanish Springs anyway, so found that post office and it's great (if busy).
I'll try the LSL mobile one on a Tues or Thurs..
thanks, all...

If I put my Blockbuster DVD returns in the box at our mailstop before the mail person leaves) they will be checked in at the Daytona receiving area the next day. I know because I get an email. I will usually get my new DVDS from Blockbuster in the next days mail. Can't get faster than that. And it is consistent. On a rare instance, it has taken two days but that is usually during holiday mail times.

There is an outgoing mail slot by the Poinciana Pool.
Twice I happened to catch the mobile Post Office at Sweebay.

Never had a problem with anything I've dropped at the Belvedere Pool mail pickup place; I would assume (though maybe I shouldn't...) this would be the case at any of the pool drops. I go to the post office (Oxford is our nearest) only when I have a package outgoing.

We were told by the post office that if we leave an outgoing letter in our personal mailbox, the person who drops off the mail would pick up our outgoing envelope first.
Never tested it though, it might just be another urban myth. ;D
