Seems lots of folks are saying something along the lines of .....LETS DISCUSS THE ISSUES.....Just a quick observation as of now...
THREAD DATE OF LAST POST # OF POSTS
Fannie Mae 9/9 15
War in Iraq 9/9 0
Health care 9/7 22
Economy 9/5 15
Social Security 9/5 7
Taxes/Cutbacks 9/4 0
TOTAL THREADS 6....TOTAL POSTS 59
In contrast there are 8 threads on Gov Palin with 448 posts !!!!
A quck check also shows that most, not all, but LARGE majority of those who say to discuss the issues have NEVER posted in any of the issue threads !!
Seems of interest to me !

I would really like to try and discuss the issues without trying assign blame. We have serious issues with the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae bailout. Today the budget deficit was announced.
The housing market is busted, wall street is in a spin and we keep spending and borrowing.
How do we get our concerns to be heard?

did you go see McCain and Palin in the springs??
The cure requires NON partisanship, Really. If we all would all vote out every single incumbent congressman and senator both state and federal in each and every election, Maybe they would figure out that WE the CITIZENS of US are going to term limit them, and then MAYBE they would do something for US instead of worrying who to pander to with every vote. This would not work with the Presidential vote I think. But It's the CONGRESS that has the power. Benj

Good analysis. Perfect indicator highlighting how well the media sets the drum beat and the partisan sheeple (both flavors R&D)shall follow.
There is always a lot of talk about voting out the non representative representatives in Washington, but that will most likely never happen.
It is going to take a major event of some kind that will shake us all up.....something that may wind up threaten life as we know and enjoy today. Something like 9/11 did but all too briefly. We still have the terrorists promise that they will deliver a more deadly blow on US soil.....GOD forbid if that is what it is going to take to set aside of the partisan way of governing (doing and accomplishing nothing).
If not then there is no hope unless something does in fact CHANGE. Partisan politics, both R&D is a terminal disease that we are in denial about!!!! As a result, per the past, NOTHING happens!
Two good examples:
Energy independence....40+ years later nothing.
Health care....how many administrations later?....nothing (unless you work in Washington)
All words/promises....until elected....then the continuation of NOTHING getting done.
The current round of candidates are no different....remember they are politicians first for the politicians and the rest of us don't even make their page 2.
Just look at the jacking around Pelosi and her troops have put in play regarding a vote on drilling......another classic partisan bickering, bartering, time wasting trek to a dead end....wanna bet?
