Has anyone been to the Ice show? We have reservations to spend the night mid December and tickets to the ice show.

Specifically about the ice show, is it good for adults? Have you stayed at the hotel not overlooking the atrium?

we have not stayed there.
We have gone to the ice show a couple of times over the past 10 years.

DO NOT MISS IT!

And remeber you will be entering a 28 degree environment for a good while or as long as you want. They supply parkas....we took our own plus gloves and ear protection allow not having to keep the hood up....it is a blowing cold.

Good luck.

wow, that will be interesting. Blowing cold. It makes sense though to keep the ice sculptures from melting. We do have tickets as they came in a package deal.

Keep in mind this is an exhibit of ice sculpturing and not a show where you will see skaters performing. Very unique and interesting but not something that is going to take up more than a couple of hours of your day. Staying in one of the outer rooms just eliminates the ability to sit on the balcony and observe the interior beauty/sites. The buffet is always excellent.

Thanks. We didn't plan to spend more than an hour or two at the ice show. We used to have an ice show in our town in Ohio and know it is very cold and there aren't entertainers. The atrium inside the hotel is gorgeous and will be decorated for Christmas. We are looking forward to seeing that. We plan to walk around that and that will take an hour or more. Plus we have a dinner planned outside of the hotel. I do get it that it would be nicer to have a room that overlooks the interior of the hotel but that was an extra hundred dollars per night and we decided just the walk around would work for us. Where is the buffet?
