We had heard good things about O' Shucks! (1016 S Main St
Wildwood) so we decided to try it. It is very small and unimpressive outside (building and parking areas). Inside wasn't any better. Service was okay but not anything special. Late afternoon/early evening sun was blinding since the window treatments didn't do anything to diminish it. Sitting facing west was a problem. Obviously, we were prepared to be disappointed in the food long before it arrived. In actual fact, our three very different seafood dinners were all very good and excellent values. We were pleasantly surprised and will absolutely return.

In addition to the clams and oysters the chicken wings are one of my favorites there.

Do they have fresh FLORIDA fish? or is it the frozen fish that our friends up north are familiar with?
Is there no Mom & Pop place here that offers, grouper, snapper, FRESH shrimp etc on the menu??
It just seems so strange when we are 90 minutes from either coast that none of the local Country Clubs or any of the smaller Mom & Pop places offer fresh fish.
I am tired of FROZEN white fish from the northern Atlantic and the Great Lakes!

I've been known to frequent a lot worse dives than O'Shucks.

Have you ever been "up north?" We live in New Jersey where we have 130 miles of general (ocean) coastline and 1,792 tidal miles of coastline. New York has 127 and 1,850 respectively. We live in Watchung (middle of the state) and only have to travel less than 5 miles for fresh fish daily.
