Classifieds - Yard Sale?

Seems like there is more & more junk being put in the classified section lately. $5 lamp shade, $6 pictue, $3 glass "gems". Really? These items that are being listed are really clogging up this forum. Do you really feel the 3 bucks is worth the time it took to post the item? Set up a yard sale and sell this stuff. Better yet ever hear of a waste basket?

small advertisements placed in a newspaper and organized in categories.
Doesn't say anything about worth or value so why should you make that kind of judgement? What makes you think you have the right to tell them to throw the objects out? It is called free enterprise.They have the right to try and sell and you have the right to say no thank you. At least everyone can afford these items while 100k RV's can be bought by only a few but they both have the right to post their items.

I for one like the classifieds.I call it upgrading on a budget. If I see a lampshade I like better than the one I have for $5 or a picture for $6 I'm goin' for it.

You'll find plenty of this "stuff" at yard sales.

Sorry. Looks like I stuck a nerve. Not my intention. Maybe a solution would be if the classified categorized items by price. It's just frustrating to have to wade through page after page of stuff to get to anything I might find that I wouldn't see at every yard sale in The Villages!

The classifieds offer various search categories and there is a drop down where you can search by price as well.
