OK, I am not trying to be smart, but why not just ask your insurance company? I am sure you are going to get conflicting replies, as different companies are going to have different approaches. In any case I am sure there would be an increase.

Not trying to be smart but the reason I posted this question is because I did call my agent.

Answer is no but you need to make sure you have the right coverage. Different than a homeowner's policy.

If I am not mistaken one of the concerns in dealing with either a rental home or a snowbird home is if the house is unoccupied for more than XX amount of days without having someone checking on it like a neighbor or home watch.
