The last two visits I had to the Super WalMart Subway on CR466 the evening worker has denied my using the Receipt Survey Free Cookie feature because as she puts it "A manager needs to be here" or something to that affect. Seems to be a good way of getting rather poor evaluations on these receipts if you deny the reason at least people-- like me for instance-- fill these out. TO GET THE FREE COOKIE!

Do any other Subway's in the Villages have this clueless policy of requiring a manager to be present when accepting the receipt's code for a free cookie?

The last few years I have gone to this Subway there has never been any problem with getting my free cookie but they did have one very good employee back then named Stephanie.

Maybe, I will switch Subways if this continues and hope that a different one has a better thought out policy with respect to public relations. :rant-rave:

We never have a problem at any of the other Subways with the free cookie coupon. That Subway must have a manager who is clueless. We use two coupons almost every time, one for cookie and then one for buy one sub, get another one free. Never a problem, altho we don't go to the one in a gas station on 466 simply because we don't live near there or that Walmart.

The Sumter Landing one is kind of far but I have gone there in the past as well as to the one near the Lady Lake Library.

There is one at a Shell station near the Publix on CR466 but I am a little wary of it. Not sure why.

Also been to the Subway on 1580 Bella Cruz Drive near the Villages Regional Hospital but that is also kind of far. Sub Sandwiches - Breakfast, Sandwiches, Salads & More | SUBWAY (http://www.subway.com/subwayroot/default.aspx)

Got the free cookie at this Subway finally without a manager on hand but had to pay in cash. Not sure what was up with that.

I did see a Harry Potter double while shopping at the Super Wal-Mart on CR466. He ran past me as I was checking out the hot dog buns without a wand though. :icon_wink:

We exchanged looks though so it did seem he appeared a bit like Harry Potter from the front as well as the back.

Hello to Pat and Ron if they read TOTV.

Stephanie was working a few weeks back so I did get my free cookie but Saturday was the relative newcomer again. I do enjoy getting the free cookies.

As a 30 year Subway Franchisee, my belief is that the employee "enhanced" his pay by pocketing your cash. There would be no other reason for such a request.

As to the service at this location, I encourage all to call the 1-800-888-4848 Subway number to file a complaint. It's the best way to get the Owner's attention and Subway does take these complaints seriously.
