The Village of Charlotte... 3 circuits had to be switched back on.. oddest thing, we were not using anything. Did anyone ever figure out what was making this happen?

The circuits trip due to ham radio operators. There are an unusual number of them in TV. The manufacturer of the circuit breaker is reimbursing the electrician to replace, free of charge. Contact your builder and/or electrician to schedule a fix.

My property manager called the Warranty Department (even though my home is 3 years old) and was tol the same thing. FYI: The electricity has to be turned off to replace the circuit breaker.

A real electrician or someone who knows what they are doing--DOES NOT HAVE TO TURN OFF THE POWER TO REPLACE A LOAD CENTER BREAKER--the only time the power has to be off when replacing the main circuit breaker--if you're nervous about replacing a breaker turn of the main (which I don't recommend-if the main doesn't go on-you got a real problem)

Just had 2 breakers opened between 7:15 and 7:45 this evening (10-28). Other two times, between 7 and 8PM. Does the Neighborhood watch use mobile 2-way radios? Possibly a Police car passing while keying their radios could cause the breakers to pop. Any others have this happen this evening at the time given? This just started a few weeks ago, and we've lived in Sanibel for almost 3 years! Wondering if Home Warranty will cover it as the breakers are faulty

I never thought of the Neighborhood Watch vehicle.

Defective breakers---does anybody know when they (electrical contractors) started using them and when they stopped?

There's a long thread on this a couple of weeks ago. No one knows your answer. Just call home warranty.
