Talk to Elite Building Systems. Their windows are suppose to take 200 MPH hurricane hits.

Not mine. But it would take the mother and father of all duck hooks to hit one of my windows. What I'm wondering is whether someone could put a ball through my lanai screening. So far, that hasn't happened either, but that would only require a pretty good pull-hook

Will they take a branch or rock propelled by a 200 mph wind?

The house I just bought has a sheet of plexi glass attached to the side of the house about 2 inches off of the glass window. From what I was told several golf balls hit the window in the years just after the house was built. As the trees along the golf course have matured there have been fewer hits.
The back of the house has a birdcage as a first line of defense for the rest of the windows which could be hit by an errant shot.
