I find NYPD Pizza on 466 very good, and I love going there because the staff is so friendly! I just wish it was closer to my house. They have free delivery within 5 miles.

I think there are probably thousands of reasons why people move here from the north. Pizza obviously isn't one of them.

The best pizza is the kind YOU grew up eating. Chicagoans think they know best and of COURSE New Yorkers think they know best.
But anyone from Cincinnati knows it is either LaRosa's or Donato's.
AND I will tell you that no one knows how to bake a pizza like Donato's so that the very thinly sliced pepperoni is crispy to a crunch.
Oh I miss that yummy taste.
Arguing over what is the best Pizza is as silly as trying to figure out who has the best grandchildren.

That is not the point. The point is there is no good pizza, and that is puzzling. There are things to both like and dislike about every place, and we are allowed to talk about them here.

NYPD pizza is the best in my opinion. I had Bravo once. It was also good, but fairly expensive for pizza.
Nobody wins a pizza ****ing contest!

So true! Or a bagel, a tomato, or a corn on the cob contest...

Never had Chicago or New York pizza. They both look good but I really liked my neighborhood pizza in San Francisco many years ago. Milanos, family owned and operated.

Someone mentioned that the best pizza is the one you grew up with. Very true.
IMO......There are good pizzas to be found all over the country. NY doesn't have a monopoly.
This from a former New Yorker.

About 35 years ago my first wife and I stopped for a bite to eat in Vermont close to the big lake. We opted for a few slices of pizza. Much to our dismay and disgust they substituted cheddar for mozzarella cheese. At that point I knew we were not in NY anymore.
