And it's large heavy trailing tether is knocking out local power over Pennslyvania. Blimp is "as big as a football field and cost more than a billion dollars."

This blimp is loaded with classified high tech military equipment that detects cruise missiles incoming to us and maybe much more. This is not your everyday Goodyear blimp filming a football game, but a military blimp from Aberdeen Proving grounds in Maryland.

You can't construct a golf course on a drone

What I'd like to know is who tied the knot and will they be promoted? You know the Peter Principal is all to active and well in DC.

That would never happen in Boston. They can't get their blimps off the ground.

did you think a gov't drone only cost $5k? Might want to google that I think you might be off by a couple of million.
As for the cost of the blimp...before you explode you'd be better off finding out what it does for our safety. And if you've never worked for the D.O.D. you've no idea of the testing done to these devices to keep them from harming people.

To defend myself just a little.
Both of the Television networks (CNN and Fox) I was watching initially reported that amount . Later I heard that it was for several of them. Apparently they are using some for surveillance of ISIS, over there. But most comments seem to suggest that they were a huge outlay of cash for well not much info. It apparently did not stop that Florida guy from landing on the White House lawn.

If it got to New England Tom Brady would deflate it and bring it down.
