Just rec'd a letter from AAA stating "only AAA Insurance offers home & auto coverage in one policy with one renewal date" and could realize a savings of $484/year.
Is anyone familiar with this type of package and if you've experienced a savings? Thank you in advance.

I do have home owners and auto insurance with AAA and have for years. They actually are two separate policies but I do get a discount for insuring both home and auto with them. Plus there are other discounts for air bags, anti lock brakes, home alarm systems etc. I shopped around last year with other companies and for the kind of coverage I have nothing could beat them for the insurance I have. Hope this helps.

We have been with AAA auto and home insurance in Norcal for around 25 years.
Went to their office in SS and they sold us ASI homeowners Ins and Travelers Auto ? ? ?
Weird!

That's really interesting. Those are my two existing insurers. I will be getting my quote early next week. Perhaps AAA can't beat my existing premiums. I will post the quote when I get it.

Just got my quote:
AAA pkg quote: $1405 which breaks down to: $691 homeowners with a hurricane deductible of $3820 and golf cart; $714 (1) auto.
Existing policies: $1437 which breaks down to: $692 homeowners with a hurricane deductible of $500 (AAA couldn't offer that) and golf cart; $745 (1) auto.
Based on the hurricane deductible, I am staying with ASI for homeowner's and Traveler's for auto. AAA agent said they are both excellent companies.
As a matter of information, AAA cannot offer the combined pkg if your auto is not housed in FL for a minimum of 9 months.

Our ASI homeowners is about the same cost as yours (also with the $500 deductible for Hurricane - wish I could buy California Earthquake coverage even with a $10K deductable for double what the Fla homeowner's insurance costs!)
Our auto is $550 for six months - hard to compare without knowing all the coverage and limits, deductables, etc). Is your's for a full year - they told me they couldn't sell a auto policy for more than 6 months (???).
Might be because I was in a fender bender two years ago. Sitting stopped at a stop light and was rear ended. Somehow it got to DMV that I was at fault!
