Pool solar heat recommendations

Looking for recommendations for installation of pool solar heat system. Have no idea of cost associated with system. Does it do everything they tell you ???

I think you are referring to a whole house system. No where near what I paid for pool only.

Helicol Solar System installed with 7 twelve foot panels, automatic valve, pressure release valve, all black PVC piping, and control box costs approximately $4500.00. My pool is 10,000 gallons with an attached spa. Pool heats to 88 degrees easily. In fact, the pool made it to 88 degrees today, November 2nd. If I isolate the solar water to the spa only, the water easily makes it to the high 90's and beyond. I've had my system for 4 years and it has worked perfectly every day since.

One last comment: the pool is generally in the mid to upper 70's in December, January, and February. But the spa (because it is smaller) can reach the high 90's or more all year. So if the weather cooperates in January, we use the spa as our "mini" pool.

Solar Trek, Ocala, 352-351-1333, installed a Heliocol system for us. Very pleased with the competence of the installers and with the performance of the system.

Solar Lights and more. Fafco system. We had presentations (quotes) from each and found that Jack only wants to bash competitors instead of talking about his own product. We checked references for both and chose Solar Lights and more. Very pleased.
(Don't let Jack snow you with the "my system will cool your water in the summer" routine. That is needed in South Florida, not here.)

Actually this is for just the pool, however, I am probably wrong, or misunderstood what the former neighbor said, maybe it was $5000. Sorry for the confusion.

Solar Lights and more in Ocala. Fafco system. Complete....all plumbing, controls (or will program to your existing controller), control valves, etc.

Our system is 8 years old and runs like a charm. How effective/fast the pool will heat up is a function of the number of panels. The more panel surface area the better......depending which direction you have the most roof exposure.

Panels warranted for 10 years.

And what I consider to be as important as the equipment......customer service. They do what they say when they say they are going to do it.

I think we spent around $6000.

Don't even think about anybody but Jack's Solar. Great service and great product. My eight panel system has been up there for almost nine years, always working perfectly. It's get your pool pretty warm if you use an insulation blanket. I found that a pain to put on and take off, so now we leave the pool uncovered all winter long. I have both the gas heater and solar turned on all winter and the gas bill is almost imperceptively higher than in the summer. Our pool is swimmable even in the winter, although not at summertime temperatures. I can't recall the cost, but I know it wasn't higher the the low thousands of dollars--maybe $2-3-4,000.

Fafco panels work very well, the average pool should cost about $3500, for 6-7 panels.

Extra panels are about $250 ea.

Make sure they know where south is, can't believe how many are facing the wrong way.

I talked to Jack once two years ago, BS artist, so get several quotes.

I installed my own in a day, it is a very simple low tech install if you don't mind being on the roof .

Bought a house here with solar panels already installed. Called Jack's Solar to fix a leak; they came promptly and fixed it. They also "sold" me on a solar blanket with a reel, and 'installed' (cut to size) the blanket same day.
So far so good, but . . . . 3 weeks later they called to say that the reel had arrived and that they would install it the next day. 2 weeks went by without another word. I called and left a message: no response. Called them again the next day to advise my cancellation and he actually seemed surprised! Go figure.
