has been bumper to bumper for the last hour. What a mess. The golf carts are moving right along. Leave the cars at home, folks. Think about all the fuel being burnt while all those cars sit in gridlock on the bridge. Drill baby, drill.

4:30. Susan, your pic is most beauteous!!!! As I look out my window, the bridge is still a mass of unmoving cars. You couldn't pay me to get in that mess. They were testing the loudspeakers this AM. I'll probably be able to hear her from the lanai.

Wish I was on your lanai with you. We could hear her, watch her on a laptop, and no crowds. It looks like everyone is standing...no chairs? That leaves me out.

Thanks about the picture...That's what I looked like when Tom and I first met.

...and you are still beautiful...and the bridge is still crowded. Hubs just went out to Buena Vista. It's backed up to Palmer heading for LSL.

Uhoh...Sirens are headed for the square. It's 1300 hours.

I hope it is not, but I wouldn't be surprised...an ambulance?? People have been standing in front of that stage since this morning in the sun. The good thing is no one can fall, they are packed so tightly. Sarah is drawing a crowd.

Maybe they are there to hear Aaron Tippen. Country music is big down here. I'll bet many outsiders are here as well. There were to many cars on that bridge.

How come when I go to the webcam in the villages.com Lifestyle, all I get is Spanish Springs? I clicked below as usual to switch camera and it goes blank with a question mark. I wanna see, I wanna see......

I was surprised when just checking the Villages TV station to see that there is live coverage of the rally. Looks like a bunch of sardines. . Every time I have turned to that channel, it is pre-recorded.

Announcer just said Palin has heard what a large crowd there is waiting for her and she is trying to get here earlier than planned.

Bare, you must have felt right at home. Sarah sounds more like a Canadian than American with her accent. I know........what accent? EH? LOL:clap2:

I went to see/hear Sarah today and could not believe all the people. We arrived at 12:30 via golf cart and did not reach the secured gated area until 2:30. We then waited, not too far from the stage, until close to 4:30 when she spoke. My friend and I enjoyed the time talking and people watching, but I am not sure I would do something like this again unless it was cooler and not sunny. I have never been so hot for so long and normally I try to stay out of the sun! Several people fainted and they had to bring in the EMT's. I was a amazed that I saw not one, but two cars driving on golf cart paths! The traffic going and coming was unbelievable. Thank goodness we used the golf cart.

Actually, I didn't notice that Sarah had an accent, so I guess she must sound Canadian, eh? ;) LOL. I think her voice is a bit shrill and hard to listen to, probably why the mimics do such a great job of impersonating her. I thought she had more of a New York twang.
